Marcus Burk
Marcus Burk (born September 27, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Campbell Fighting Camels and the IUPUI Jaguars. High school career Burk attended Franklin Central High School, and led the team to four straight sectional titles. As a junior, he averaged 19 points, five rebounds and two assists per game, earning All-Conference honors. He scored 40 points against Columbus East High School. In the Class 4A regional semifinals, Burk posted 36 points, though the Flashes lost to FJ Reitz High School, 81–80. As a senior, he averaged 25.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game, earning First Team Super Team honors from The Indianapolis Star. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. Columbus East High School
Columbus East High School (CEHS) is one of three high schools in Columbus, Indiana, United States. East is a member of the Hoosier Hills Conference in athletics and has a total of 5 IHSAA state championships. It was founded in 1972 due to the growing educational demands of the community. 2020 NBA Draft
The 2020 NBA draft was held on November 18, 2020. The draft was originally scheduled to be held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on June 25, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was instead conducted at ESPN's facilities in Bristol, Connecticut, with the event held via videoconferencing. National Basketball Association (NBA) teams took turns selecting amateur United States college basketball players and other eligible players, including international players.
