Marcos Knight
Marcos Shyderrick Knight (born September 24, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for BC UNICS of the VTB United League. College career After attending West Laurens High School in Dublin, Georgia, Knight spent one year each at junior colleges Middle Georgia (2009–10) and Chipola (2010–11). For his sophomore year, he transferred to Middle Tennessee State University. In his two years with the Blue Raiders (2011–13), Knight saw the court in a total of 68 games to average 12.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists as well as 1.2 steals per outing. He garnered All-Sun Belt 1st Team honors and NABC Division I All-District 24 1st Team distinction as a senior. Professional career Coming out of college, Knight worked out with NBA teams Charlotte Bobcats and Brooklyn Nets. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a " Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. The ProB is the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 24 teams, separated into a Northern and a Southern Division. Officially, the ProB is part of the '' 2. Basketball Bundesliga'', which consists of the two hierarchical leagues ''ProA'' and ''ProB''. Before the 2007–08 season, the ''2. Basketball Bundesliga'' was a basketball league with the same name, which consisted of two geographical divisions. Proas are various types of multi-hull outrigger sailboats of the Austronesian peoples. The terms were used for native Austronesian ships in European records during the Colonial era indiscriminately, and thus can confusingly refer to the double-ended single-outrigger boats of Oceania, the double-outrigger boats of Island Southeast Asia, and sometimes ships with no outriggers or sails at all. The 2019–20 Basketball Bundesliga, known as the easyCredit BBL for sponsorship reasons, was the 54th season of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), the top-tier level of professional club basketball in Germany, held from 24 September 2019 to 28 June 2020.
