March Entertainment was a Canadian animation studio of digital animated entertainment for television and the World Wide Web. The company's properties include the television series '' Chilly Beach'', ''Maple Shorts'', '' Yam Roll'', and '' Dex Hamilton''. Founded as Infopreneur in 1996 by Dan Hawes and Doug Sinclair as a producer of web content, March Entertainment's '' Chilly Beach'' Flash animation series would be broadcast on CBC Television starting in 2003. The property also yielded two movies, '' The World is Hot Enough'' and ''The Canadian President''. In 2011, the series launched in the U.S. on the streaming video website Hulu; the series had also been available on iTunes. Animation
Animation is a filmmaking technique whereby still images are manipulated to create moving images. In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film. Animation has been recognised as an artistic medium, specifically within the entertainment industry. Many animations are either traditional animations or computer animations made with computer-generated imagery (CGI). Stop motion animation, in particular claymation, has continued to exist alongside these other forms. Animation is contrasted with live action, although the two do not exist in isolation. Many moviemakers have produced films that are a hybrid of the two. Catherine Tait
Catherine Tait (born 1958) is a Canadian business executive who formerly served as the 16th president of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She succeeded Hubert Lacroix for the position after being appointed on April 3, 2018, and beginning her five-year mandate on July 3, 2018. In June 2023, her mandate was renewed until January 2025. She was succeeded by former TV5 Québec Canada chief executive officer, Marie-Philippe Bouchard. Tait was a founder and served as the first chair of the Global Task Force for Public Media, an initiative of the Public Media Alliance launched in September 2019. A rainbow is an optical phenomenon caused by refraction, internal reflection and dispersion (optics), dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a continuous visible spectrum, spectrum of light appearing in the sky. A co-production is a joint venture between two or more different production companies for the purpose of film production, television production, video game development, and so on. In the case of an international co-production, production companies from different countries (typically two to three) are working together.
