Marcerra United Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Kuala Lumpur. The club last competed in the Malaysia FAM League, the third tier of the Malaysian football league, in 2018. The team also competes in the Kuala Lumpur League, a state league. In 2018, the management of Marcerra United also has taken over the management of Malaysia Premier League club Kuantan FA, and renaming the club to Marcerra Kuantan FA. As a result of financial problems, Marcerra United pulled out of the 2018 Malaysia FAM Cup league on 20 July 2018, with the team's result expunged from the league. 2018 Malaysia FAM Cup
The 2018 Malaysia FAM League was the 67th season of the Malaysia FAM League since its establishment in 1952. The season started on 25 February 2018 and concluded on 6 September 2018. Sime Darby were the defending champions. The season marked the competition's final year as the third tier football league in Malaysia when it was succeeded by the Malaysia M3 League for the 2019 season. The FAM Cup (Malay: Piala FAM) was a knock-out tournament for teams in both the Malaysia M3 League and the Malaysia M4 League in Malaysia. The Malaysia Premier League ( ms, Liga Premier) was the second-tier professional football league in Malaysia. The league replaced the former second-tier league, Liga Perdana 2 in the Malaysian football league system. Marcerra Kuantan Football Association ''( Malay: Persatuan Bolasepak Daerah Kuantan)'' is a defunct Malaysian football club based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The club was established in 1970 and began competing in the local league as Kuantan FA. In early 2018, the club's right was sold to Marcerra United and they decided to rename the club as Marcerra Kuantan FA as a symbol of the club's new start. Some of the locals consider calling the club as the A.S. Roma of Malaysian Football due to the club sharing the same kit color scheme with the Serie A side .
