Marcelo Carné
Marcelo Henrique Passos Carné (born 6 February 1990), is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Saudi First Division League club Al-Jabalain. Club career Flamengo Carné began his career in the youth team of Bangu, but joined Flamengo's youth setup in 2004, aged 14. He was promoted to the main squad in 2010, but subsequently served loans at Boavista and Duque de Caxias. Al-Jabalain On 18 July 2024, Carné joined Saudi First Division League side Al-Jabalain. Copa Rio (state Cup)
The Copa Rio () is a regional cup competition for football clubs in the Rio de Janeiro state. It is run by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation. Volta Redonda has the record for most trophies won. History The competition was founded in 1991 by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation to decide one of the Rio de Janeiro's Copa do Brasil representatives of the following year (the other being the Campeonato Carioca champion). If the state champion had also won Copa Rio, the representative would have been the tournament runner-up. However, in 1995 the Brazilian Football Confederation established the possibility of a club being invited to dispute Copa do Brasil, and, as a consequence of this, Copa Rio ended up not being interesting for the big teams, so it was discontinued. The Campeonato Mineiro is the top-flight professional state football league in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. It is run by the Minas Gerais Football Federation (FMF). The history of Campeonato Mineiro can be divided into two parts: before and after the construction of the Mineirão, in September 1966. The Mineirão is the biggest football stadium of Minas Gerais and it is located in Minas Gerais' state capital, Belo Horizonte.
