Marcel Herzog
Marcel Herzog (born 28 June 1980) is a retired Association football, footballer from Switzerland who played as Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Since his retirement he works as talent manager, since January 2019 for the youth department of FC Basel. Career Early years Herzog started his youth football with local amateur club FC Bubendorf. As his family moved to New York for two years, he played on a high school team there. Returning to Bubendorf, as just 16-year-old, he achieved promotion to the 3rd division with their first team and attracted attention in the regional selection. In 1997 he transferred to the youth section of FC Concordia Basel playing in their U-19 team, but quickly advanced to their first team, who at that time played in the third tier of Swiss football. 2011–12 FC Basel Season
The 2011–12 season is FC Basel's 119th in existence and the club's 18th consecutive season in the top flight of Swiss football. FC Basel started their season with various warm-up matches against teams from Switzerland, Germany, Georgia, France and Romania and played against Hertha BSC and West Ham United at the 2011 Uhrencup in Grenchen. Daniel Lopar (born 19 April 1985) is a Swiss football goalkeeper. He has most recently played for SC Brühl. Jeff Saibene (born 13 September 1968) is a Luxembourgish former professional footballer and manager of Swiss Challenge League club Neuchâtel Xamax. Germano Vailati (born 30 August 1980) is a Swiss former professional football goalkeeper. Club career Vailati was born in Lugano. He started his professional career in the Canton Ticino, and played for a number of different teams, before he transferred to the prestigious club FC Sion in the summer of 2004. In the 2006–07 season Sion were promoted to the Super League. In the 2006–07 and 2007–08 seasons he played for in their first time in UEFA Cup.
