Marc Dwyer
Marc Dwyer (born 19 June 1987) is an Australian radio presenter and former actor. He appeared as Dylan in Ray Lawrence's 2000 acclaimed film ''Lantana'', playing the son of Anthony Lapaglia and Kerry Armstrong. This was followed by a 2001 double episode of the Australian drama ''All Saints''. Dwyer also appeared in various television and photographic advertisements between 2000 and 2005. Dwyer started his radio career at 101.3 Sea FM on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Dwyer applied and was accepted into the Australian Film Television and Radio School to complete a graduate diploma in commercial radio broadcasting, completed in October 2008. Lantana (film)
''Lantana'' is a 2001 Australian drama film, directed by Ray Lawrence and starring Anthony LaPaglia, Kerry Armstrong, Geoffrey Rush and Barbara Hershey. It is based on the play ''Speaking In Tongues'' by Andrew Bovell, which premiered at Sydney's Griffin Theatre Company. The film won seven AACTA Awards including Best Film and Best Adapted Screenplay. ''Lantana'' is set in suburban Sydney and focuses on the complex relationships between the characters in the film. The central event of the film is the disappearance and death of a woman whose body is shown at the start of the film, but whose identity is not revealed until later. The film's name derives from the plant lantana, an invasive species of shrub prevalent in suburban Sydney, which is attractive on the surface but a tangle of dead wood on the inside. Anthony Lapaglia
Anthony LaPaglia (, ; born 31 January 1959) is an Australian actor. Known for his roles on stage and screen he has received several accolades including three AACTA Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Tony Award. Kerry Armstrong
Kerry Michelle Armstrong (born 12 September 1958) is an Australian actress and author. She is one of only two actresses to win two Australian Film Institute Awards in the same year, winning Best Actress in a Leading Role for ''Lantana'' and Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Television Drama for '' SeaChange'' in 2001. After early television roles in Australia including ''Prisoner'' (1979) and '' Skyways'' (1980), Armstrong moved to the United States in 1981, where she played Ophelia in ''Hamlet'' and Isabella in ''Measure for Measure'' at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., and had a role in the soap opera ''Dynasty'' (1985–86). ''All Saints'' is an Australian medical drama television series that first screened on the Seven Network on 24 February 1998. Set in the fictional All Saints Western General Hospital, it focused on the staff of Ward 17 until its closure in 2004, which is when the focus changed and began following the staff of the emergency department. The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), formerly Australian Film and Television School, is Australia's national screen arts and broadcast school.
