Slalom is an alpine skiing and alpine snowboarding discipline, involving skiing between poles or gates. Giant slalom (GS) is an alpine skiing and alpine snowboarding competitive discipline. It involves racing between sets of poles ("gates") spaced at a greater distance from each other than in Slalom skiing, slalom but less than in Super-G. Giant slalom and slalom make up the technical events in alpine ski racing. This category separates them from the speed events of Super-G and Downhill (ski competition), downhill. Levi, Finland
Levi is a fell located in Finnish Lapland, and the largest ski resort in Finland. The resort is located in the village of Sirkka, Kittilä municipality and is served by Kittilä Airport and Kolari railway station. At a latitude of 67.8° north, it is located approximately north of the Arctic Circle. The peak of the Levi fell is at an elevation of above sea level.
