Marc Brown (author)
Marc Tolon Brown (born November 25, 1946) is an American author and illustrator of children's books. Brown writes as well as illustrates the ''Arthur'' book series and is best known for creating that series and its numerous spin-offs. The names of his two sons, Tolon Adam and Tucker Eliot, have been hidden in all of the ''Arthur'' books except for one. He also has a daughter named Eliza, whose name appears hidden in at least two books. He is a three-time Emmy award winner; the ''Arthur'' TV series adapted from the books was named number one on PBS for three years (1997, 2000, 2001). He also served as an executive producer on the show during seasons ten through twenty-five. He currently lives in Hingham, Massachusetts. Marc Brown (basketball)
Marc Brown (born July 5, 1969) is an American basketball coach and retired professional player. He is currently head basketball coach at New Jersey City University. He played professionally for 15 years following an All-American college career at Siena College. College career Brown, a point guard, played basketball at Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey, graduating in 1987, and played collegiately at Siena. As a sophomore, Brown led Siena to its first NCAA tournament appearance in 1989 then led the 14th-seeded Saints to a first round upset over 3 seed Stanford. Brown scored 32 points, handed out 6 assists, and hit the winning free throws in the 80–78 victory. He was named an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press that year. Brown ended up as a four-time first team All-Conference performer in the ECAC North and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), and was named the conference's player of the year as a senior in 1991. Marc Brown (American Football)
Marc Stacy Brown (born May 7, 1961) is a former professional American football wide receiver who played for the Buffalo Bills in 1987. Brown attended Nyack High School, graduating in 1979, before playing college football at both Westchester Community College and Towson State. While at WCC, he was named the team's player of the year and to the all-state junior college team. He graduated from Towson with a degree in communications in 1983. He signed with the Washington Federals of the United States Football League in January 1983, but was released in April after playing in three games. He was later signed by the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles for one month in 1983, and also signed with the USFL's Philadelphia Stars. He signed with the Buffalo Bills in December 1986, but was waived in July 1987. Marc Alan Brown (born September 29, 1961) is an American television news anchor at KABC-TV in Los Angeles. Brown co-anchors the station's ''Eyewitness News HD'' newscasts at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. with Michelle Tuzee. Brown has earned four Emmy Awards, a Golden Mike, an Associated Press and a Radio and Television News Director Association award. Brown graduated from Narbonne High School (Class of 1979) in Los Angeles's Harbor City neighborhood and earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of Southern California. His first television job was as a reporter at KIEM-TV in Eureka, California in 1984. He went on to report and anchor at KOLO-TV in Reno, Nevada, KNTV in San Jose, California and KFMB-TV in San Diego, California before returning to Los Angeles to begin working at KABC-TV in 1989 as a reporter.
