Marc Boerigter
Marc Robert Boerigter (; born May 4, 1978) is an American former professional football player. Boerigter had stints in both the CFL and the NFL. He is one of 13 players to have caught a 99-yard reception in the NFL. Early life and college football career Born in Hastings, Nebraska, Boerigter attended Hastings High School. He played college football for hometown Hastings College, an NAIA school. As a wide receiver for the Broncos, Boerigter caught 93 passes for 1,902 yards during his collegiate career, setting team records with a 20.5 yard average and 30 touchdowns. Boerigter was named a two-time All-Nebraska-Iowa Athletic Conference selection. Boerigter graduated from Hastings with a bachelor's degree in Human Resources. The quarterback (QB) is a position in gridiron football who are members of the offensive side of the ball and mostly line up directly behind the Lineman (football), offensive line. Longest Pass Caught In The NFL
A 99-yard pass play is the longest play involving a forward pass that is possible in an American football game. It gains 99 yards and scores a touchdown for the offensive team. The play has occurred thirteen times in NFL history, most recently by Eli Manning and Victor Cruz. The Washington Commanders are the only team to have had multiple 99 yard passes, having done so three times. They were also the first franchise to complete one, accomplishing the feat in 1939. The 2002 NFL season was the 83rd regular season of the National Football League (NFL). The league went back to an even number of teams with the addition of the Houston Texans; the league has remained static with 32 teams since. The clubs were realigned into eight divisions, four teams in each. The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Its fourteen member institutions, of which all but one are public schools, are located in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. The MIAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Missouri. Robert Boerigter is an American sports administrator and retired commissioner for the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. Prior to being commissioner, Boerigter served as the athletics director for Northwest Missouri State University. Early years Boerigter attended Northwestern College in Iowa where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1970. Boerigter then moved to Colorado where he graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a master of arts in 1974, and his Ph.D from the University of Utah in 1978. In 1972, Boerigter began his 45-year career in collegiate athletics as a coach at Northwestern College in four different sports.
