Marathon (2025 Video Game)
Marathon is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed and published by Bungie. Announced in May 2023, the game is a new entry in Bungie's original ''Marathon'' series, which began in 1994. The new ''Marathon'' is being developed as a multiplayer extraction shooter with a focus on player versus player (PvP) gameplay, and loot extraction mechanics. Bungie, Inc. is an American video game company based in Bellevue, Washington, and a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment. Alberto Mielgo (born 29 April 1979) is a Spanish director, artist, and animator. His accolades include an Academy Award, four Emmy Awards and two Annie Awards. An alternate reality game (ARG) is an interactive networked narrative that uses the real world as a platform and employs transmedia storytelling to deliver a story that may be altered by players' ideas or actions. Player versus environment (PvE, also known as player versus monster (PvM) and commonly misinterpreted as player versus entity) is a term used for both single player and online games, particularly MMORPGs, CORPGs, MUDs, other online role-playing video games and survival games to refer to fighting computer-controlled enemies - in contrast to PvP (player versus player) which is fighting other players in the game.
