Manuel Pradal
Manuel Pradal (22 March 1964 – 13 May 2017) was a French film director and screenwriter. He wrote the scenarios for all the films he directed. Pradal died on 13 May 2017 in Paris after a long illness, aged 53. He studied in the directing department of La Fémis, from which she was graduated in 1990. Aubenas
Aubenas (; ) is a Communes of France, commune in the southern part of the Ardèche Departments of France, department in Southern France. It is the seat of several government offices. The mountainous and rugged countryside is popular for vacation homes. The river Ardèche (river), Ardèche flows through the commune. Aubenas is one of the most populous communes in the Ardèche department with 12,479 inhabitants as of 2019, after Annonay and before Guilherand-Granges and Tournon-sur-Rhône. Aubenas is the centre of an Urban unit, urban area, composed of 22 towns and villages including Vals-les-Bains, with 41,568 inhabitants (2018). A Crime
''A Crime'' (French title: ''Un crime'') is a 2006 thriller film directed by Manuel Pradal, written by Pradal and Tonino Benacquista, and starring Emmanuelle Béart. The film unfolds the story of Vincent (Norman Reedus) who looks for his wife's killer. In the process, his neighbor Alice (Emmanuelle Béart) decides to invent a culprit, so that he can find revenge. ''The Blonde with Bare Breasts'' () is a 2010 French film written and directed by Manuel Pradal. Plot Julien (Nicolas Duvauchelle), 25 years old, and Louis (Steve le Roi), 14 years old, are brothers. Their father had often beaten Julien, who defended Louis from also being beaten. Their father is terminally ill now. Although the brothers do not care much for it, they try to obtain ownership of their father's river transport narrowboat. A gang offers money for stealing the Édouard Manet painting ''La blonde aux seins nus'' (The Blonde with Bare Breasts) from a museum. The story is about an FBI officer (Harvey Keitel) investigating the murder of a would-be informant, attempts to contact the only person who knows the truth behind the killings - the dead man's eleven-year-old son. Plot As the film opens, we learn that Benson, a New Yorker, has been entrusted with protecting the 11-year-old boy.
