Manuel Fumic
Manuel Fumic (born 30 March 1982) is a German former cross-country cyclist. He finished 8th at the 2004 Summer Olympics and 11th at the 2008 Olympic Games. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's cross-country at Hadleigh Farm, finishing in 7th place. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, he finished in 13th place. Fumic retired at the end of the 2021 season, becoming the team manager for Cannondale Factory Racing. Personal life He is the younger brother of Lado Fumic. Henrique Avancini (born 30 March 1989) is a Brazilian mountain bike racer and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team . He is a two-time winner of the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships (2018 and 2023), 17 times winner at the National Cross-country cycling championship (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), and four times Pan American champion. Partnered with German rider Manuel Fumic at the 2016 and 2017 Absa Cape Epic, he won the prologue time trial and stage 1 in 2017, and the stage 7 finale in 2016. Cape Epic
The Absa Cape Epic or the Cape Epic, founded by Kevin Vermaak is an annual mountain bike stage race held in the Western Cape, South Africa. First staged in 2004, it has been accredited as ''hors catégorie'' (beyond categorization) by the Union Cycliste Internationale. The eight day race consists of a prologue and seven stages, and typically covers more than with some of climbing. Professional mountain bikers from around the world encompassing up to 650 teams compete in teams of two. To qualify for a finish, teams have to stay together for the duration of the race. The race is also open to amateurs, who enter a lottery in order to gain a slot. The times taken to finish each stage are aggregated to determine the overall winning team in each category at the end of the race.
