Mantar (band)
Mantar is a German sludge metal duo from Hamburg. It was formed in 2012 by drummer Erinç Sakarya and guitarist Hanno Klänhardt. The two are originally from Bremen, but moved to Hamburg. Hanno Klänhardt lives in Gainesville, Florida since 2015. Mantar means mushroom in Turkish language, Turkish. History Mantar was formed in 2012 by two old friends, drummer Erinç Sakarya and guitarist Hanno Klänhard. The band's music was influenced by the early works of bands such as Melvins, Darkthrone and Motörhead. The duo released their debut studio album, ''Death by Burning'', in 2014 on the Svart Records. Rock Am Ring
The (German language, German for "Rock at the Ring") and ("Rock in the Park") festivals are two simultaneous rock music festivals held annually. While ''Rock am Ring'' takes place at the Nürburgring race track, ''Rock im Park'' takes place at the Zeppelinfeld in Nuremberg. Sharing nearly identical lineups, the two festivals are usually regarded as one event. All artists perform one day at the Nürburgring and another day in Nürnberg during the three-day event. There have been minor exceptions in the past years where an artist would be announced for one of the festivals only. Motörhead
Motörhead () were an English rock band formed in London in 1975 by Lemmy (lead vocals, bass), Larry Wallis (guitar) and Lucas Fox (drums). Lemmy was also the primary songwriter and only constant member. The band are often considered a precursor to the new wave of British heavy metal, which re-energised heavy metal in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Though several guitarists and drummers have played in Motörhead, most of their best-selling albums and singles feature drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor and guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke. Sludge is a semi-solid slurry that can be produced from a range of industrial processes, from water treatment, wastewater treatment or on-site sanitation systems. For example, it can be produced as a settled suspension obtained from conventional drinking water treatment, as sewage sludge from wastewater treatment processes or as fecal sludge from pit latrines and septic tanks. The term is also sometimes used as a generic term for solids separated from suspension in a liquid; this 'soupy' material usually contains significant quantities of 'interstitial' water (between the solid particles). Sludge can consist of a variety of particles, such as animal manure. Industrial wastewater treatment plants produce solids that are also referred to as sludge. This can be generated from biological or physical-chemical processes. The album also was released in Russia, Japan and South Africa. ''Ode to the Flame'' is the second studio album by a German sludge metal band Mantar which was released by Nuclear Blast on 15 April 2016. Release Mantar made his first announcement of ''Ode to the Flame'' on 27 January 2016. On 24 March 2016, Mantar began streaming audio snippets for the tracks featured on their announced album, ''Ode to the Flame''. A limited vinyl LP was released by Tower Records the same year. Darkthrone is a Norwegian extreme metal band from Kolbotn, Akershus. Melvins
Melvins (sometimes The Melvins) are an American rock band formed in 1983 in Montesano, Washington. Their early work was key to the development of both grunge and sludge metal. Initially, they performed as a trio but later also sometimes appeared as a quartet, with either two drummers or two bassists. Since 1984, vocalist and guitarist Buzz Osborne and drummer Dale Crover have been constant members. The band was named after a supervisor at a Thriftway in Montesano, where Osborne also worked as a clerk; "Melvin" was disliked by other employees, and the band's members felt it to be an appropriately ridiculous name.
