''Mansarra'' (Nepali: मनसरा) is a 2024 Nepali social drama film written and directed by Upendra Subba. It's produced by Shailendra Dhoj Karki under the banner Kabaddi Films, who also serves as the cinematographer for the film. The film stars Miruna Magar, Dayahang Rai, Menuka Pradhan and Praveen Khatiwada. It's Subba's second film, after the blockbuster success of his debut venture Jaari. It released in cinemas on 3 May 2024 with the film garnering positive response from the premieres. The film received excellent response especially from Eastern regions in Nepal. Synopsis Mansarra, a particular type of peddy, is believed to not grow alone and thus its seeds are mixed with other species before planting. Miruna Lisara Magar (; born July 18, 1994) is a Nepalese actress known for her work in Nepali cinema. She made her film debut in 2018 with ''Lalpurja''. She starred in a lead role in the 2022 film '' Kabaddi 4: The Final Match'', which became the highest-grossing Nepali film of all time. She starred in the 2023 film '' Jaari'', which also became one of the highest-grossing Nepali films. Upendra Bahadur Angdembe who is known as Upendra Subba ( ne, उपेन्द्र सुब्बा) is a Nepali poet, lyricist, writer, and film director. He is one of the initiators of the movement called ''Srijanshil Arajakta'' (Creative Anarchy) along with Rajan Mukarung and Hangyug Agyat. Early life Subba was born in Angsarang-8, Panchthar, an eastern hilly district. His birth name was Upendra Bahadur Angdembe. In 1997, he moved to Kathmandu city from Damak to become a songwriter.
