Manolo Martínez
Manuel 'Manolo' Martínez Lara (born 15 June 1980) is a Spanish football coach and former player who played mainly as a defensive midfielder but also as a central defender. He is the current assistant manager of Gimnàstic de Tarragona. He appeared in 228 Segunda División matches over ten seasons, scoring a combined five goals for Hércules, Gimnàstic (two stints), Tenerife and Recreativo. He also competed professionally in Greece. Club career Born in Bigastro, Alicante, Valencian Community, Martínez started his professional career with local Hércules CF, as a central defender. After years spent almost exclusively in Segunda División B he had a brief spell in La Liga, playing three games for Gimnàstic de Tarragona and being released in the 2007 winter transfer window; his debut in the latter competition consisted of 55 minutes of a 1–2 home loss against RC Celta de Vigo, on 10 September 2006. Bigastro
Bigastro (; Valencian: Bigastre) is a municipality in the Valencian Community (Spain) situated in the south of the province of Alicante, in the comarca of Vega Baja del Segura. It had a population of 6,450 at the time of the 2005 census. History In La Loma, there is an archaeological site dating from the Bronze Age. The city () was the seat of a bishop under Byzantine rule. It was probably recovered by the Visigoths under Witteric. ''Diari de Tarragona'' is a Spanish language newspaper, with some articles in Catalan language, Catalan. Based in the province of Tarragona, they are focused on proving the area with local and provincial news. They were originally founded in 1939 with the name ''Diario Español'' only a few weeks before the end of the Spanish Civil War. History The newspaper published its first issue on 17 January 1939, in the middle of the Civil War, shortly after Tarragona was occupied by the Nationalist faction (Spanish Civil War), Franquistas. Their first director was Luis Climent, who held the position from 1939 to 1942. During the Dictatorship, the newspaper formed part of the Cadena de Prensa del Movimiento. The 2009–10 La Liga (known as the ''Liga BBVA'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 79th season of La Liga since its establishment.
