Manny Acta
Manuel Elias Acta (born January 11, 1969) is a Dominican former professional baseball manager who is currently the bench coach for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has formerly served as a broadcast analyst for ESPN and ESPN Deportes. He has also served as manager for the Washington Nationals and the Cleveland Indians. In the Dominican Winter League, he has been successful both as a manager and a general manager: he managed the Tigres del Licey from 2003 to 2005, including leading them to victory at the 2004 Caribbean Series. As a general manager, he won with the Tigres del Licey in the 2013-14 season and then did the same with Águilas Cibaeñas in 2018. Acta managed the Dominican Republic team at the 2006 World Baseball Classic where they placed 4th. They are assistants to the manager, who determines the starting lineup and batting order, decides how to substitute players during the game, and makes strategy decisions. Beyond the manager, more than a half dozen coaches may assist the manager in running the team. Águilas Cibaeñas
The Águilas Cibaeñas (; ''Cibaoan Eagles'') is a professional baseball team in the Dominican Republic's Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), based in Santiago in the northern region of Cibao. Founded in , the team has won six Caribbean Series and 22 national titles. The Estadio Cibao is the home stadium of the Águilas. Lou Piniella
Louis Victor Piniella ( usually ; born August 28, 1943) is a former professional baseball player and manager. An outfielder, he played 18 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees. During his playing career, he was named AL Rookie of the Year in 1969 and captured two World Series championships with the Yankees ( 1977, 1978). Scott Daniel Servais ( '; born June 4, 1967) is an American professional baseball former manager, catcher, and current coach for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). Servais served as the manager of the Seattle Mariners of MLB from 2016 to 2024. A catcher in MLB for eleven seasons, Servais was previously the assistant general manager for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and director of player development for the Texas Rangers. William Larry Randolph (born July 6, 1954) is an American former professional baseball second baseman, coach, and manager. During an 18-year career in Major League Baseball (MLB), he played from 1975 to 1992 for six different teams, most notably the New York Yankees with whom he won back-to-back world titles against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Florida State League
The Florida State League (FSL) is a Minor League Baseball league based in the state of Florida. Having been classified at various levels throughout its existence, it operated at Class A-Advanced from 1990 until its demotion to Single-A following Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field, between first base and third base. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles.
