Mann Rubin
Mann Rubin (December 11, 1927 – October 12, 2013) was an American film and television screenwriter, whose credits included '' The Best of Everything'' in 1959, '' Brainstorm'' in 1965, ''Warning Shot'' in 1967, '' The First Deadly Sin'' in 1980, and '' The Human Shield'' in 1991. He also taught screenwriting within the cinema and TV department at the University of Southern California for more than ten years. Early life Rubin was born in Brooklyn, New York. He served in the United States Army from 1945 until 1947 before completing his Bachelor of Arts degree at New York University in 1952. Career He initially worked as a science fiction writer for DC Comics. His writing credits at DC Comics included ''Mystery in Space'' and ''Strange Adventures''. ''Mystery in Space'' is the name of two science fiction American comic book series published by DC Comics, and of a standalone Vertigo anthology released in 2012. The first series ran for 110 issues from 1951 to 1966, with a further seven issues continuing the numbering during an early 1980s revival of the title. An eight-issue limited series began in 2006. ''Mannix'' is an American detective television series that originally aired for eight seasons on CBS from September 16, 1967, to March 13, 1975. The show was created by Richard Levinson and William Link, and developed by executive producer Bruce Geller. The title character, Joe Mannix, is a private investigator played by actor Mike Connors. Premise During the first season of the series, Joe Mannix works for a large Los Angeles detective agency called Intertect, which was the planned original title of the show. His superior is Lew Wickersham, played by Joseph Campanella. Intertect uses computers to help solve crimes. ''The Fugitive'' is an American crime drama television series created by Roy Huggins and produced by QM Productions and United Artists Television.
