Manizha Bakhtari
Manizha Bakhtari (Persian: منیژه باختری) is an Afghan diplomat, author, and journalist. She currently serves as the Afghan ambassador to Austria. She was the former Afghan ambassador to the Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Finland). Bakhtari previously served as the Chief of Staff of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as a part-time lecturer at Kabul University. Life and Education Bakhtari is the daughter of Afghan poet Wasef Bakhtari. Ashraf Ghani
Mohammad Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai (born 19 May 1949) is an Afghan politician, academic, and economist who served as the president of Afghanistan from September 2014 until August 2021, when his government was overthrown by the Taliban. Born in Logar Province, Ghani went to the United States in the 1960s to study and later completed a bachelor's degree at the American University in Beirut. Wasef Bakhtari
Wasef Bakhtari ( fa, استاد واصف باختری) (born 1942 in Balkh, Afghanistan) is an Afghan poet, literary figure and intellectual. Life and education Bakhtari spent most of his childhood in Mazar-i-Sharif. He attended Bakhtar School for his primary and for most of his secondary education. After his family moved to Kabul, he finished Habibia High School in 1965. He holds a BA degree in Persian literature from Kabul University. He did his graduate studies in the U.S., where he received a master's degree in education from Columbia University in 1976. In 1996 Bakhtari, then a professor of literature at Kabul University, and his wife Noriajan were forced to flee Afghanistan because of the intolerance of the Taliban. They sought refuge in Pakistan.
