Manish Kumar
Manish Kumar (born 22 December 1978) is an Indian politician and a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. He is a member of the Janata Dal (United) and has been the representative of the Dhauraiya constituency in the Bihar Legislative Assembly since 2009. Early life and education Manish Kumar was born in the town of Nathnagar, Bhagalpur district, Bihar. He has a postgraduate diploma from Delhi University. Political career Manish Kumar entered politics while still a student in 1993. In the 2009 Indian general election, Bhudeo Choudhary of the Janata Dal (United) was elected as a member of parliament from the Jamui constituency. Choudhary had previously been the representative of the Dhauraiya constituency in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, and had to forfeit his seat. Janata Dal (United) ("People’s Party (United)”) abbreviated as JD(U) is an Indian political party with political presence mainly in eastern and north-eastern India. JD(U) is recognised as a state party in the states of Bihar , Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur and is a part of government in Bihar. Abuse is the improper usage or treatment of a thing, often to unfairly or improperly gain benefit. Sit-ups (punishment)
The sit-ups punishment (Uthak Baithak) is a form of punishment given in schools of Indian subcontinent, specially in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Pakistan. In this punishment, one has to sit down and stand up continuously and count the number of sit-ups. Students do sit-ups while holding their ears with their hands. It is common in schools. For humiliation, it is done in front of other students. Normally given in the range of 10-300 sit up for boys and 10-200 sit up for girls. Variants There are many forms of this punishment. Simple Situps The punished student will do situps holding his/her ears. The hands should be ninety degrees with the body. Also he/she has to count loudly with every step. Rickshaw
A rickshaw originally denoted a two- or three-wheeled passenger cart, now known as a pulled rickshaw, which is generally pulled by one person carrying one passenger. The first known use of the term was in 1879. Over time, cycle rickshaws (also known as pedicabs or trishaws), auto rickshaws, and electric rickshaws were invented, and have replaced the original pulled rickshaws, with a few exceptions for their use in tourism. Pulled rickshaws created a popular form of transportation, and a source of employment for male labourers, within Asian cities in the 19th century. Their appearance was related to newly acquired knowledge of ball-bearing systems. Their popularity declined as cars, trains and other forms of transportation became widely available. Gherao
Gherao, meaning "encirclement", is a word which denotes a tactic used by labour activists and union leaders in India; it is similar to picketing. Usually, a group of people would surround a politician or a government building until their demands are met, or answers given. This principle was introduced as a formal means of protest in the labour sector by Subodh Banerjee, the PWD and Labor Minister in the 1967 and 1969 United Front Governments of West Bengal, respectively. Owing to its popularity, the word “gherao” was added to the Concise Oxford English Dictionary in 2004. Page 598 has the entry: “Gherao: n (pl. gheraos).
