	Manik (2005 Film) ''Manik'' ( bn, মানিক) is a Bengali language, Bengali movie released in 2005. Directed by Probhat Roy, the movie featured Jeet (actor), Jeet, Koel Mallick, Ranjit Mallick. This movie is Koel Mallick's second. This film was shot at Kalimpong Golf Course. Plot Samir Mitra is an unemployed educated man who is looking for a job. His father Abir Mitra is a retired person. Samir's mother is suffering from cancer. One day Samir suddenly meets Manik Chandra Sadhukhan. Manik's father is Niranjan Sadhukan, he is also ill. Latika is Manik's younger sister. Manik has come to Kolkata to meet his father's friend Chandrakanta Majumadar who is an established businessman. Manik meets with an accident on the way. Samir tries to save his life. 	Manik (1961 Film) ''Manik'' is a Bengali drama movie released in 1961, directed by Bijalibaran Sen in the banner of ''Chalachitra Prayas Sanstha''. V. Balsara scored the music of the movie. This film was based on ''Oliver Twist'', the famous 1838 novel of Charles Dickens. Plot On a stormy night, a pregnant young lady stumbles into an orphanage where she gives birth to a boy. The mother dies soon leaving the newborn baby who is taken in custody by Natabar Ghoshal ( Gangapada Bose), the manager of the orphanage. The boy is given the name 'Manik.' Manik grows up with fellow orphan kids amidst a harsh and unsympathetic environment of the orphanage, courtesy to the crooked manager. 	Moosa Manik Moosa Manik (born 29 December 1963), best known as 'kuda moosa', is a football coach, and a former football player. He spent much of his youth playing football. He started his career as a footballer at the age of nineteen and continued to play for more than 20 years at the very top level. He played numerous positions during his career but more known as a gifted midfielder.
