Manhattan Beach is a city in southwestern Los Angeles County, California, United States, on the Pacific coast south of El Segundo, west of Hawthorne and Redondo Beach, and north of Hermosa Beach. As of the 2010 census, the population was 35,135. Manhattan Beach is one of the three Beach Cities, along with Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach within the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. The community is known for a long beach stretching approximately and roughly wide. Ron Hayman
Ron Hayman (born August 31, 1954) was one of the first Canadian cyclists to turn professional in the late 1970s, inspiring those following like fellow Canadian Alex Stieda. Hayman later became a Canadian cycling coach and entrepreneur, and was runner-up on the list of the 10 most important Canadian cyclists of the twentieth century. Hayman competed on the Canadian Olympic cycling team in Munich in the 1972 Summer Olympics in the pursuit and again in 1976 Summer Olympics in the team pursuit. He was seven times Canadian national champion on the road and track. In 1979, still an amateur on an English team 'London Australia' ( Archer Road Club), he won the 1979 Tour of Ireland. It began in 1960 and continues in syndication, drawn by his son Jeff Keane. Early life and education Keane was born in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania neighborhood of Crescentville, and attended parochial school at St. William Parish and Northeast Catholic High School.
