Yugoslavia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1988 with the song "" , written by Rajko Dujmić and Stevo Cvikić, and performed by Srebrna krila. The Yugoslav participating broadcaster, (JRT), selected its entry through ''1988''. Before Eurovision ''1988'' The Yugoslav national final was held on 12 March 1988 at the Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, hosted by Miša Molk and Bogdan Barovič. There were originally meant to be 16 songs competing, but "Noć u suzama" performed by Jasna Gospić had to be withdrawn as the singer was ill in hospital. The winning song was chosen by the votes of 8 regional juries. The new voting system introduced in 1987 allowed the juries from each TV studio to be able to vote for their own entries. Most of them used this opportunity, as well as in the following years. Every jury member (3 from every TV studio - 24 in total) could vote only for 5 songs. Yugoslav Radio Television (''Jugoslavenska radiotelevizija''/Југословенска радиотелевизија or ''Jugoslavenska radio-televizija''/Југословенска радио-телевизија; JRT/ЈРТ) was the national public broadcasting system in the SFR Yugoslavia. History was first issued on 17 June 1943 by Tito's Partisans in an abandoned stone barn on Mosor, a mountain near Split, while the city was occupied by the Italian army. Oliver Mlakar (born 1 July 1935) is a Croatian television presenter. Best known for hosting game shows, he was one of the most popular television personalities in Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, SFR Yugoslavia and later Croatia. Biography Mlakar was born in Ptuj and lived in Osijek from 1945 to 1954. He moved to Zagreb in 1954 to study French and Italian at the University of Zagreb and began working as an announcer for Radio Zagreb in 1957. Mlakar became a full-time broadcaster for Television Zagreb in 1965, hosting ''Poziv na kviz'' with Jasmina Nikić, the first quiz show on Yugoslav television. Directed by Anton Marti, only several episodes were shot. RTS 1 (), known as RTS Program One (), or Prvi (), is a Serbian television channel that is part of Radio Television of Serbia (RTS). It was established on August 23, 1958 as the first television station in Serbia. History RTS 1 was the first television channel founded in the territory of Serbia.
