Mangkunegara
The Principality of Mangkunegaran () was a small Javanese princely state located within the region of Surakarta in Indonesia. It was established in 1757 by Raden Mas Said, when he submitted his army to Pakubuwono III in February, and swore allegiance to the rulers of Surakarta, Yogyakarta, and the Dutch East Indies Company, and was given an appanage of 4000 households. The Palace of the rulers of Mangkunegaran was established by Raden Mas Said who signed a treaty with the Dutch East India Company (VOC) in 1757. By the treaty, he became the ruler of a part of Eastern Mataram and was henceforth known as Mangkunegara I. Known as ''Pura Mangkunegaran'', the palace is located in the center of the city of Solo. Pura Mangkunegaran
The Pura Mangkunegaran (, ) is a palace complex in the city of Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. It is the official palace and residence of the Duke of Mangkunegara and his family. The palace complex is one of the centers of Javanese culture and contains a museum exhibiting royal artifacts of Mangkunegaran. History The palace complex was built in 1757 ( AJ 1690) following the style of Kraton by the command of Mangkunegara I, the first Duke of Mangkunegaran. This royal palace was built after the Treaty of Salatiga was signed by Mangkunegara I, Hamengkubuwana I, Pakubuwana III, and the VOC in March 1757. The treaty initiated the creation of the Duchy of Mangkunegaran and the investiture of Mangkunegara I as the first ruler. Mangkunegara VI
Mangkunegara VI (1 March 1857 – 25 June 1928) was the prince of Mangkunegaran from 1896 to 1916. Biography Early life Mangkunegara was born in the Mangkunegaran Palace as R.M. Suyitno. He was the fourth son of Mangkunegara IV and Raden Ayu Dunuk. As he reached adulthood he took the name K.P.A. Dayaningrat. The younger brother of the fifth Mangkunegara. Mangkunegara II
Mangkunegara II, also known as Prince Adipati Prangwedana I, Prince Surya Mataram, Prince Surya Mangkubumi, (born Bendara Raden Mas Sulama, 5 January 1768 – 17 January 1836) was the second ruler of Mangkunegaran in Java in the eighteenth century who succeeded to the throne of his grandfather, Mangkunegara I. His reign lasted from 1796 to 1835. Mangkunegara II was the son of Crown Prince Arya Prabumijaya I, who was the son of Mangkunegara I. Upon his death in 1835, he was the last male descendant Prince Sambernyawa to be named the Duke of Mangkunegaran. Prince Mangkunegara X, 10th Duke of Mangkunegaran (; born 29 March 1997), also known as Gusti Bhre, is the 10th Duke of Mangkunegaran who has been in power since 2022, succeeding his father, Mangkunegara IX. Early life Bhre Cakrahutomo Wira Sudjiwo was born on March 29, 1997 and is the youngest son of Duke Mangkunegara IX and Gusti Kangjeng Putri Mangkunegara IX. Mangkunegara IX
Mangkunegara IX (18 August 1951 – 13 August 2021) was the traditional ruler of the former state of Mangkunegaran, located in Java, Indonesia. He succeeded his father, Mangkunegara VIII, as the 9th Ruler of Mangkunegaran on 3 September 1987. His full royal name was ''Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya Mangkunegara IX.'' Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya Mangkunegara V was the fifth ruler of the Duchy of Praja Mangkunegaran which reigned relatively briefly (1881-1896). His birth name is Gusti R.M. Kangjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya Mangkunegara I, also known as Pangeran Sambernyawa ("''Life Reaping Prince''"), his birth name was Raden Mas Said (April 7, 1725 – December 28, 1795), established the Puro Mangkunegaran, in Surakarta, Java Island. Mangkunegara IV
Mangkunegara IV (3 March 1811 – 2 September 1881) was the fourth ruler of Mangkunegaran, a principality based in Surakarta, Java, ruling from 1853 to his death in 1881. He was son-in-law of Mangkunegara III. His title before ascending was Prince Adipati Prangwedana III. Reign During his reign, the foundations of estate agriculture producing coffee and sugar were established, he became the first non-European to own sugar factories ( De Tjolomadoe and Tasikmadu factory). Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya Mangkunegara VIII (Kartasura, 7 April 1925 – Surakarta, 2 August 1987) was an Indonesian politician, and the eighth and last sovereign Duke of Mangkunegaran, who reigned from 1944 until his death in 1987.
