Krishna district is a district in the Coastal Andhra region in Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, with Machilipatnam as its administrative headquarters. Machilipatnam Mandal
Machilipatnam mandal is one of the 25 mandals in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is under the administration of Machilipatnam revenue division, and the headquarters are located in Machilipatnam town. The mandal is bounded by Bantumilli, Pedana, Gudur, Ghantasala, Challapalli, and Koduru mandals. In March 2023, the state government put forth a proposal for the bifurcation of Machilipatnam mandal into Machilipatnam North and Machilipatnam South mandals.
