Mangshi
Mangshi ( zh, c=芒市, w=Mangshih; ; Jingpho language, Jingpho: ), former name Luxi ( zh, labels=no , c=潞西), is a county-level city and the seat of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture in western Yunnan province, China. Mangshi has an area of , with an urban area of . Han Chinese, Dai people (Tai Nuea branch) and Jingpo people (Zaiwa branch) are the major ethnic groups. Luxi County was founded in 1949, and became a county-level city in 1996. Etymology Mangshi was originally called Luxi (). The name "Luxi" originated in 1934 when the central government of Republic of China established the direct ruled government Luxi Administrative Bureau (). The name means "west of the Lu River," referring to "Lujiang" (), another name for the Salween River, Nujiang (Salween) River. Maang Language
Maang (; autonym: ' or ') or Mo'ang (; autonym: ') is a Lolo-Burmese language of Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan, China and northern Vietnam. The Maang are also locally referred to as the ''Gāokùjiǎo Yí'' (高裤脚彝; "High-Trousered Yi") by other local ethnic groups (Zhou 2014:1). Lama (2012) classifies Maang within the Mondzish branch of Lolo–Burmese. Maang has many Zhuang ( Central Tai) loanwords (Wang 2018). Mang Tomas ( Filipino for "Mr. Tomas") is a condiment brand owned by NutriAsia. Its core product is lechon sauce. The brand was developed by Hernan and Ismael Reyes in the late 1980s after they purchased the lechon sauce recipe of Aling Pitang lechon shop located in Quiapo, Manila. Filipino Styles And Honorifics
In the Philippine languages, a system of titles and honorifics was used extensively during the throughout its history. In the pre-colonial era, It was mostly used by the Tagalogs and Visayans. Mang, or Mashan Miao also known as Mashan Hmong (麻山 ''máshān''), is a Miao language of China, spoken primarily in Ziyun Miao and Buyei Autonomous County, southwestern Guizhou province, southwest China. The endonym is ''Mang'', similar to other West Hmongic languages such as Mong. Varieties Mang was classified as a branch of Western Hmongic in Wang (1985), who listed four varieties. Anton "Toni" Mang (; born 29 September 1949 in Inning am Ammersee) is a former five-time world champion in Grand Prix motorcycle racing from Germany. Early life When he was 11, Mang had his first experience with motorcycles on the DKW RT 125, but soon afterwards he chose skibobbing as his favoured sport. He was successful at this sport, winning the German National Championship as well as the Junior European Championship in skibobbing at the age of 16. Still, motorsports kept pulling at him and he took part in a 50cc race on a Kreidler two years later though he had to pull out of the race due to mechanical difficulties. Mang (caste)
The Mang, or Matang is an Indian caste mainly residing in the state of Maharashtra. Matang are known as Madiga in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The community was historically believed to be associated with village security and professions such as rope making, broom making, musicians, cattle castration, leather curing, midwifery, executioners, and funeral directors.
