Mandy Marchak
Mandy Marchak (born November 24, 1984) is a Canadian rugby footballer. She represented at three rugby union World Cups in 2006, 2010 and 2014 and at rugby league in 2017 World Cup. She also played in two Sevens World Cups in 2009 and 2013. She also spent two years in the United Kingdom with the Saracens side. Marchak retired from rugby union in 2016 due to injury. The 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup was the fifth staging of the Women's Rugby League World Cup and was held in Australia between 16 November and 2 December 2017. The Canada national women's rugby league team, also known as the Canadian Ravens represents Canada in international rugby league football tournaments. Canada have qualified for, and will be competing in the 2021 Women's Rugby League World Cup (to be held in November 2022 following a delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic) and the 2025 Women's Rugby League World Cup. The 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens was the sixth edition of the Rugby World Cup Sevens. The tournament was held at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia. New Zealand won the tournament, defeating England 33–0 in the final. Attendance for the tournament was poor, with matches played in mostly empty stadiums. The 2009 Rugby Sevens World Cup was the fifth edition of the Rugby World Cup Sevens. The International Rugby Board (IRB) selected Dubai in the United Arab Emirates as the host venue for the tournament ahead of bids from four other countries. The format included nine direct qualifiers and a further fifteen qualifiers from all six regions defined by the IRB.
