Mandai Depot
Mandai Depot ( Malay: Depot Mandai; ) is an integrated train and bus depot located in Mandai, Singapore. The train depot serves as the maintenance and control centre of the Thomson-East Coast line while the bus depot is used for the Sembawang-Yishun Bus Package. The facility is located on a site bounded by Mandai Road, Seletar Expressway and Lorong Lada Hitam, on the former site of Orchidville. The depot is located between Woodlands station and Springleaf station on the Thomson–East Coast Line and has three reception tracks: one track northbound towards Woodlands station and two tracks southbound towards Springleaf station. Bus Contracting Model Of Singapore
The Bus Contracting Model (BCM), formerly known as the Government Contracting Model, is a contracting model introduced by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in 2014 for public buses in Singapore, implemented in 2016. East Coast Integrated Depot
The East Coast Integrated Depot (ECID) is a large integrated bus and train depot located in Changi, Singapore. It will serve three Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) lines: the East–West line (EWL), the Downtown line (DTL) and the Thomson–East Coast line (TEL). It is currently under construction, with expected completion in the second half of 2026. The depot will be located beside the current site of Changi Depot, which will be demolished. It will be the first MRT depot in Singapore to serve three MRT lines and also the third to be integrated with a bus depot in Singapore after the Tuas Depot on the East–West line and Gali Batu Depot on the Downtown line. Springleaf MRT Station
Springleaf MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Thomson–East Coast Line (TEL) in Singapore. Situated along Upper Thomson Road, it serves the neighbourhood of Springleaf and the nearby Springleaf Nature Park. It will also serve future housing developments in the Springleaf area. The station is operated by SMRT Trains. Woodlands MRT station is a Mass Rapid Transit (Singapore), Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North–South MRT line, North–South (NSL) and Thomson–East Coast MRT line, Thomson–East Coast (TEL) lines in Singapore. Mandai Road
Mandai Road () is a major road located in Mandai, in the northern area of Singapore. The road starts from Woodlands Road and ends at the junction of Sembawang Road and Upper Thomson Road. The road was built in 1855 in a jungle and appeared in the Franklin and Jackson ''Plan of Singapore'' (1828) as a river indicated as "R. Mandi". It has been said the name of the road comes from a tree known as the "Mandai tree". As the road is the main access to the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari, it is common to refer to the zoos collectively as the "Mandai Zoo". The Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium is also located in the area, and is the resting places for those honourable leaders, such as Lee Kuan Yew, the former and first Prime Minister of Singapore. SMRT Trains Limited is a rail operator in Singapore and a wholly owned subsidiary of SMRT Corporation. After the privatisation of the MRT operations in 1995, it was originally named Singapore MRT Limited.
