Manchester Medical School
The School of Medical Sciences is the medical school of the University of Manchester, located in Manchester, England. It is the third oldest medical school in England and the largest medical school in the United Kingdom, with around 6,000 undergraduates, 3,000 postgraduates and 2,000 staff. The Faculty is a member of the Manchester Academic Health Science Centre and has four affiliated teaching hospitals at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital, Salford Royal Hospital and the Royal Preston Hospital. Wilmslow Road
Wilmslow Road is a major road in Manchester, England, running from Parrs Wood northwards to Rusholme where it becomes the Oxford Road. The name of the road changes again to Oxford Street when it crosses the River Medlock before reaching Manchester city centre. The road runs through the centres of Didsbury, Withington and Fallowfield, including the major student residential campus of Owens Park, to Rusholme. International Medical University
The IMU University, (formerly known as the International Medical University) is a private, English language, health sciences university in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The university offers programmes in medical and other health sciences as well as MSc and PhD programmes. Bute Medical School
The University of St Andrews School of Medicine (formerly the Bute Medical School) is the Medical school (United Kingdom), school of medicine at the University of St Andrews in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland and the oldest medical school in Scotland. The medical school offers several programmes to students, the BSc (Hons) in Medicine program teaches medical students for the first three years of their training, with students completing this training, earning their MB ChB/MBBS at various partner medical schools in the UK in a pre-arranged fashion. Stopford Building
The Stopford Building is the second largest building at The University of Manchester, after the Sackville Street Building. It houses the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health (FBMH). It was built in 1969-72 (architects H. S. Fairhurst & Son). It is now linked on the east side to the Biotech Building of 1999. The cost of the building was £12.5 million and it was described as the largest and most up-to-date in Europe a few years after its completion. Piccadilly Gardens
Piccadilly Gardens is a green space in Manchester city centre, England, on the edge of the Northern Quarter. It takes its name from the adjacent street, Piccadilly, which runs across the city centre from Market Street to London Road. The gardens also contain a bus station and a tram stop. The nearby Piccadilly railway station is the main entry point for people arriving to the city from Manchester airport and the south of the country. Piccadilly Gardens were laid out after World War I on the former site of the Manchester Royal Infirmary. University Dental Hospital Of Manchester
The University Dental Hospital of Manchester is a dental facility in Manchester, England. It is managed by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. History The Dental Hospital was established in association with the School of Medicine at Owens College in 1884. It was then at Grosvenor Street, Chorlton-on-Medlock and removed to another house, in Devonshire Street, in 1892. Fund raising was slow in response to a public appeal and only in 1908 was the hospital able to occupy a new building on Oxford Road next to the Manchester Museum, designed in the Edwardian Baroque style by the architects Charles Heathcote & Sons. The John Rylands Research Institute and Library is a Victorian era, late-Victorian Gothic Revival architecture, neo-Gothic building on Deansgate in Manchester, England.
