Man On The Edge
"Man on the Edge" is a single from the Iron Maiden album ''The X Factor'' released in 1995. The song is based on the film ''Falling Down'', starring Michael Douglas. It was the first single the band released with Blaze Bayley on vocals. Synopsis In addition to an interview with Bayley and another track from ''The X Factor'', the single features three originals that did not make the album's final cut. Iron Maiden frequently played this song during the Ed Hunter tour in 1999, making it one of 5 Bayley era songs to survive in concerts after his departure (The others being "Lord of the Flies", "Sign of the Cross", "Futureal", and " The Clansman"). From Fear To Eternity (album)
''From Fear to Eternity: The Best of 1990–2010'' is a compilation album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, containing a selection of songs originally released on the eight studio albums from ''No Prayer for the Dying'' to ''The Final Frontier''. The title is lifted from the 1992 single, "From Here to Eternity", although it is not featured in this release. Background The album was announced on 15 March 2011, to be released by EMI on 23 May, although this was later changed to 6 June. Unlike their previous compilation (''Somewhere Back in Time''), the release covered two CDs to encompass longer tracks, such as "Paschendale", although the price remained that of a single disc record. As with ''Somewhere Back in Time'', each track is sung by Bruce Dickinson rather than Blaze Bayley (who sang on ''The X Factor'' and ''Virtual XI''), the band again opting to use later live versions of songs which originally featured other lead vocalists. Artwork The album cover was designed by ...

Iron Rainbow
Iron is a chemical element; it has symbol Fe () and atomic number 26. It is a metal that belongs to the first transition series and group 8 of the periodic table. It is, by mass, the most common element on Earth, forming much of Earth's outer and inner core. It is the fourth most abundant element in the Earth's crust, being mainly deposited by meteorites in its metallic state. Extracting usable metal from iron ores requires kilns or furnaces capable of reaching , about 500 °C (900 °F) higher than that required to smelt copper. Humans started to master that process in Eurasia during the 2nd millennium BC and the use of iron tools and weapons began to displace copper alloys – in some regions, only around 1200 BC. That event is considered the transition from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age. In the modern world, iron alloys, such as steel, stainless steel, cast iron and special steels, are by far the most common industrial metals, due to their mechanical propert ...

Easter Egg
Easter eggs, also called Paschal eggs, are eggs that are decorated for the Christian holiday of Easter, which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus. As such, Easter eggs are commonly used during the season of Eastertide (Easter season). The oldest tradition, which continues to be used in Central and Eastern Europe, is to dye and paint chicken eggs. Although eggs, in general, were a traditional symbol of fertility and rebirth, in Christianity, for the celebration of Eastertide, Easter eggs symbolize the empty tomb of Jesus, from which Jesus was resurrected. In addition, one ancient tradition was the staining of Easter eggs with the colour red "in memory of the blood of Christ, shed as at that time of his crucifixion." This custom of the Easter egg, according to many sources, can be traced to early Christians of Mesopotamia, and from there it spread into Eastern Europe and Siberia through the Orthodox Churches, and later into Europe through the Catholic and Protestant Chu ...

Silent Movie
''Silent Movie'' is a 1976 American satirical silent comedy film co-written, directed by and starring Mel Brooks, released by 20th Century Fox in summer 1976. The ensemble cast includes Dom DeLuise, Marty Feldman, Bernadette Peters, and Sid Caesar, with cameos by Anne Bancroft, Liza Minnelli, Burt Reynolds, James Caan, Marcel Marceau, and Paul Newman as themselves, and character cameos by Harry Ritz of the Ritz Brothers, Charlie Callas, and Henny Youngman. The film was produced in the manner of an early-20th-century silent film, with intertitles instead of spoken dialogue; the soundtrack consists almost entirely of orchestral accompaniment and sound effects. It is an affectionate parody of slapstick comedies, including those of Charlie Chaplin, Mack Sennett, and Buster Keaton. The film satirizes the film industry, presenting the story of a film producer trying to obtain studio support to make a silent film in the 1970s. Plot Mel Funn, a once-great Hollywood film direct ...
