Malynda Hale (born August 21, 1986) is an Americans, American Actor, actress, singer, and Political movement, political activist. She is the former host of #WeNeedToTalk Podcast and creator of The Black Voices Heard Project. She is also the owner of JMV Entertainment Music Agency based in Los Angeles. Early life Hale was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California to Diane Hale and James Hale. She is the younger of two daughters. Hale was raised in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, AME church where she began singing at the age of 5. She started playing piano at age 7 and writing her own songs at 9 years old. The National Underground was a music venue in New York City, that was launched in December 2007. It was a roots rock Americana music bar founded in Manhattan's Lower East Side, at 159 East Houston Street between Allen and Eldridge Streets. In 2011, a further venue opened at 105 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201 (expanding and changing its name to “Nashville Underground” in 2018), which remains open as of December 2024, even as the original NYC location has permanently closed.
