Malut United FC
Maluku Utara United Football Club (simply known as Malut United) is an Indonesian football club based in Sofifi, North Maluku. The club currently plays in Liga 2. History On 30 January 2023, mining tycoon David Glenn has successfully taken over Liga 2 club Putra Delta Sidoarjo with the ownership of the club being transferred to the newly-founded PT. Malut Maju Sejahtera and David's mining company PT. Mineral Trobos Group. David then relocated the club to the town of Sofifi in North Maluku with the aims of improving football within a region known for producing talented players but lacking any teams in the top two tiers of Indonesian football, renaming the club as Maluku Utara United in the process. To prepare for the Indonesian 2023–24 Liga 2 season, Malut United signed a total of 13 players, most of whom were natives of North Maluku, as well as enlisting Imran Nahumarury as their inaugural head coach. Gamalama
Gamalama is a near-conical stratovolcano that comprises the entire Ternate island in Indonesia. The island lies off the western shore of Halmahera island in the north of the Maluku Islands. For centuries, Ternate was a center of Portuguese and Dutch forts for spice trade, which have accounted for thorough reports of Gamalama's volcanic activities. An eruption in 1775 caused the deaths of approximately 1300 people. On December 4, 2011 Mount Gamalama erupted, ejecting material up to 2,000 meters into the air. Thousands of residents in nearby Ternate City fled due to ash and dust particles raining down on the town. Finally on December 27 some 4 people died and dozens injured from debris falls (lahar) after a month of activity. More eruptions occurred in September 2012. An eruption on December 18, 2014, deposited five centimeters of ash on the runway of Babullah Airport in Ternate, closing the airport. Pramoedya Suhardi
Pramoedya Ananta Toer (EYD: Pramudya Ananta Tur) (6 February 1925 – 30 April 2006) was an Indonesian author of novels, short stories, essays, polemics and histories of his homeland and its people. His works span the colonial period under Dutch rule, Indonesia's struggle for independence, its occupation by Japan during the Second World War, as well as the post-colonial authoritarian regimes of Sukarno and Suharto, and are infused with personal and national history. Pramoedya's writings sometimes fell out of favour with the colonial and later the authoritarian native governments in power. He faced censorship in Indonesia during the pre- ''Reformasi'' era even though he was well-known outside Indonesia. Dutch authorities imprisoned him from 1947 to 1949 during the War of Independence. During the transition to the Suharto regime, he was caught up in the shifting tides of political change and power struggles. Suharto had him imprisoned from 1969 to 1979 on the Maluku island of Buru ...
