Saddik Abdullahi Mahuta
Justice Saddik Abdullahi Mahuta is the longest-serving chief judge in Katsina State, Nigeria from 1991 to 2013, and he administered the oath of office to civilian governors of Katsina State from Alhaji Sa'idu Barda in 1991 to Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Shema in 2011. Saddik Abdullahi Mahuta was born in Mahuta village of Malumfashi local government area of today's Katsina state on Monday 24 May 1948. His father, Malam Abdullahi Sani Mahuta, was the 9th Galadiman Katsina, Hakimin Malumfashi till his death in 1991. Katsina State

Professor Sunusi Mamman was the Vice Chancellor of Umaru Musa Yar'adua University from 2017 to December 15, 2022. Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU), formerly ''Katsina State University'', was established by the Katsina State Government in 2006, to "serve as a nucleus for socio-economic, technological and political development of the State by producing highly skilled human resource through conventional face-to-face and distance learning modes." Umaru Musa Yar'adua, then the executive governor of Katsina State and later the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, began the work of creating the university before his death in 2010.
