Maltese Broadcasting Authority
Public Broadcasting Services Limited (PBS) is the public broadcasting, public broadcaster of Malta. PBS is funded by government grants and the sale of commercial airtime. Its Television Malta, TVM channel is Malta's most watched television channel, and its radio station Magic Malta enjoys huge popularity among local and foreign listeners. Each year on 13 December, PBS hosts an open day, where the public takes a visit in the building and have a look at the sets of the channels and radios. History PBS was founded on 11 November 1975 as Xandir Malta and became joint member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) together with the Maltese Broadcasting Authority (MBA). The latter was previously admitted as a full, active member, as Malta Television Service Ltd already has been, in 1970. Since 2003, PBS is the sole Maltese member of EBU. Rediffusion House
Rediffusion House is a Modern architecture, Modernist building located in Gwardamanġa, limits of Pietà, Malta, Pietà, Malta. Designed by the architect Carmelo Falzon, the building was completed in 1958 for Rediffusion (Malta) Ltd. It briefly housed Television Malta in the 1960s before a purpose-built Television House was constructed in 1964. The building continued to house Rediffusion until 1975, when the company's operations were taken over by Xandir Malta. The building remained in use, becoming known as Broadcasting House, and it has housed the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) since that company took over from Xandir Malta in 1991. Between 2006 and 2008, plans were made to demolish the building and replace it with a new headquarters for PBS, but these were not carried out due to the building's significance in both Malta's architecture and broadcasting history. Sit-in
A sit-in or sit-down is a form of direct action that involves one or more people occupying an area for a protest, often to promote political, social, or economic change. The protestors gather conspicuously in a space or building, refusing to move unless their demands are met. The often clearly visible demonstrations are intended to spread awareness among the public, or disrupt the goings-on of the protested organization. Lunch counter sit-ins were a nonviolent form of protest used to oppose segregation during the civil rights movement, and often provoked heckling and violence from those opposed to their message. Parliament TV (Malta)
Parliament TV is a terrestrial television network in Malta that broadcasts the proceedings of the Parliament of Malta. It was established in 2015 following the relocation of Parliament to the new parliament building in Valletta. Prior to 2012, proceedings of Parliament were not broadcast in video form but audio coverage of parliamentary debates was carried on Radju Malta 2. Portomaso

The tower stands in the Portomaso section of St. Julian's, a town just north of Malta's capital city, Valletta. Opened in 2001, the tower is tall, with 23 floors of mixed commercial office space. Naxxar () is a town and local council in the Northern Region of Malta. The population in March 2014 was 14,891. The Naxxar Church is dedicated to Our Lady of Victories. Mtarfa
Mtarfa () is a small town in the Northern Region of Malta, with a population of 2,572 as of March 2014. It was considered to be a suburb of Rabat until 2000, when it became a separate local council. History A number of historic silos were discovered in Mtarfa in October 1973. In the Roman period, Mtarfa was a suburb of Melite, and it contained a Temple of Proserpina. The ruins of the temple were destroyed in the 17th and 18th centuries for reusing the stones in other buildings. Substantial remains of the suburb itself, including the arrangement of the streets and many tombs, survived until the late 19th century. In 1890, British military barracks began to be built in Mtarfa, destroying most of the Roman remains in the process. Mellieħa
Mellieħa ( ) is a large village in the Northern Region of Malta. It has a population of 10,087 as of March 2014. Mellieħa is also a tourist resort, popular for its sandy beaches, natural environment, and Popeye Village nearby. Etymology The name ''Mellieħa'' is derived from the Semitic root ''m-l-ħ'', which means ''salt''. This is probably derived from the ancient Punic-Roman salt pans which existed at Mellieħa Bay. The site of the salt pans is now occupied by the Għadira Nature Reserve. History Prehistory to Middle Ages Mellieħa was first inhabited in around 3000 BC, during the Neolithic period. Several megalithic remains have been found, including the temple of Għajn Żejtuna, as well as several caves and tombs, in which tools and pottery fragments were found. Nadur
Nadur () is an Local councils of Malta, administrative unit of Malta, located in the eastern part of the island of Gozo. Nadur is built on a plateau and is one of the largest localities in Gozo. Known as the 'second city', it spreads along a high ridge to the east of Victoria, Malta, Victoria. It had a population of 4,509 as of March 2014. The word is derived from the Arabic word ‘nadara’, which means 'lookout', pretty much having the same meaning as its motto ‘Vigilant’. Delimara
The Delimara peninsula (''Maltese: Dellimara'') is a peninsula located on the southeastern tip of the island of Malta's South Eastern Region, forming half of Marsaxlokk's coast on Marsaxlokk Bay. The towns of Marsaxlokk and Birżebbuġa are located and away respectively. It is mostly known as the location of the primary power station in Malta, the Delimara power station. The peninsula is also known for its two tourist-oriented bays: St Peter's Pool and Kalanka Bay.
