Malmö Live
Malmö Live is an event venue in Malmö, Sweden. A city block comprising a concert hall, convention center, hotel, and several residential and office buildings situated just north of the canal, on the Universitetsholmen, University Island. It opened in August 2015. Malmö Live Concert Hall is the home of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and can fit up to 1,600 people. Area and activities On old, centrally located harbor area land, created by land reclamation in the 19th century, is the ''Torsken'' city block, where used to be the Neptuni park, the old Fish harbor and older harbor buildings such as ''Benmöllan'' from the 1850s. Cerith Wyn Evans (born 1958 in Llanelli) is a Welsh conceptual artist, sculptor and film-maker. In 2018 he won the £30,000 Hepworth Prize for Sculpture. Early life and education The son of Sulwyn and Myfanwy Evans, Evans was born in Llanelli. He was educated at Ysgol Gymraeg Dewi Sant, Llanelli and at Llanelli Boys Grammar School. His father was a noted photographer and painter. Evans is a fluent Welsh speaker. Haegue Yang (; born December 12, 1971) is a South Korean artist primarily working in sculpture and installation. After receiving her B.F.A from Seoul National University in 1994, Yang received an M.A. from Städelschule where she now teaches as a professor of Fine Arts.
