Malkhas Amoyan
Malkhas Amoyan (born 22 January 1999) is an Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the gold medal in the men's 72kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway, and he also won the gold medal in the men's 77kg event at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. Career In 2020, Amoyan won the silver medal in the 72kg event at the Individual Wrestling World Cup held in Belgrade, Serbia. Amoyan won the gold medal in the 72kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway. In 2021, he also won the silver medal in the 72kg event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Warsaw, Poland. The World Heavyweight Championship was a professional wrestling world heavyweight championship in WWE. It was established by WWE in 2002 after WWE bought out World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and split its roster into two brands, Raw and SmackDown!, in a brand extension. WWE's original world title, the WWE Championship, with which the WCW World Heavyweight Championship had been unified in 2001, was designated to the SmackDown! brand; as a result the World Heavyweight Championship was established for the Raw brand. Roman Amoyan
Roman Amoyan ( hy, Ռոման Ամոյան, born 3 September 1983) is an Armenian retired Greco-Roman wrestler of Yazidi-Kurdish descent. He is an Olympic bronze medalist, three-time World Championships medalist, and two-time European Champion. Amoyan received the Honored Master of Sports of Armenia title in 2009. Early life Roman was born in Yerevan, Armenian SSR to Yazidi parents. He started wrestling in 1995 and became a Junior World Champion in 2001 and a Junior European Champion in 2002. He is uncle of Malkhas Amoyan. Career Amoyan won the Olympic bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing in the Men's Greco-Roman 55 kg. Amoyan was Armenia's first Olympic medalist in wrestling in 16 years. He won a bronze medal in 2009 and a silver medal in 2010 at the World Wrestling Championships. Yunus Emre Basar (born November 5, 1995) competing in the 77 kg division of Greco-Roman wrestling. He won one of the bronze medals in the 77kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. He is a member of the İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi S.K.
