Malick Fall (born 11 December 1985 in Dakar) is an Olympic swimmer from Senegal. He has swum for Senegal at the Senegal at the 2000 Summer Olympics, 2000, Senegal at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2004, Senegal at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008, and the Senegal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012 Olympics, without winning a medal. He is West Africa's most successful swimmer. He was Senegal's flag-bearer at the 2004 Olympics. Breaststroke
Breaststroke is a human swimming, swimming style in which the swimmer is on their chest and the torso does not rotate. It is the most popular recreational style due to the swimmer's head being out of the water a large portion of the time, and that it can be swum comfortably at slow speeds. In most swimming classes, beginners learn either the breaststroke or the freestyle (front crawl) first. However, at the competitive level, swimming breaststroke at speed requires endurance and strength comparable to other strokes. 2009 FINA World Championships
The 2009 World Aquatics Championships () or the XIII FINA World Championships were held in Rome, Italy from 18 July to 2 August 2009. This was the second time the championships were held in the city after being previously hosted in 1994. The 2009 Championships featured competition in all 5 aquatics disciplines: diving, swimming, open water swimming, synchronised swimming and water polo. Rome won the right to stage the event on 16 July 2005 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Rome defeated rival bids from Athens (Greece), Moscow (Russia) and Yokohama (Japan).
