Malaysian University Football Team, also known as MUFT, is a university association football, football club currently competing in the Malaysia A1 Semi-Pro League. The team is under the jurisdiction of higher education institutions of Malaysia, Ministry of Education (Malaysia), Ministry of Higher Education (Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, KPT). History The club was founded in 2021, and participated in 2022 Malaysia M3 League, finishing 9th. MUFT participated in their first ever 2024 Malaysia FA Cup, Malaysia FA Cup where they were drawn against Malaysia Super League club, Polis Diraja Malaysia FC, PDRM. On 12 June 2024, MUFT recorded their first ever win against a first tier team in a 3–0 win over PDRM. They lost in quarter-final to Johor Darul Ta'zim F.C., Johor Darul Ta'zim 0–13 on aggregate. Royal Malaysia Police Football Club (), well known as PDRM FC, is a Malaysian professional football club associated with the entity of the Royal Malaysia Police, that participate in the Malaysia Super League. 2023 Malaysia M3 League
The 2023 Malaysia M3 League was the 3rd season of Malaysia M3 League, the third-tier semi-professional football league in Malaysia, since its establishment in 2019. The season started on February 2023. Establishment and format This new season saw the format restructuring by the Amateur Football League (AFL). On 19 January 2020, the AFL has announced the format changes for the Malaysia M3 League and Malaysia M4 League in preparation for the transition of the amateur team to semi-professionals by 2021. The league will kick-off with 16 teams into one single group of league. The top four teams will play in the play-offs to determine which teams will qualify for promotion to the Super League in the 2024 season. The bottom two teams will be relegated to the M4 League. The Malaysia FA Cup ( ms, Piala FA) is an annual national knock-out football (soccer), football tournament in Malaysia. The cup was first held in 1990. The competition was previously managed by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), before being transferred to Football Malaysia LLP (MFL) (now known as Malaysian Football League) in the 2016 Malaysia FA Cup, 2016 season.
