Malakai Ravulo
Malakai Ravulo (born 22 September 1983) is a Fijian rugby union player. He is a loose forward but spent most of his youth playing as a centre. He presently plays his rugby with the North Harbour rugby team in New Zealand. Started his rugby at the prestigious rugby nursery Queen Victoria School Queen Victoria School (QVS) is a non-selective, co-educational, boarding school predominantly for children of Scottish Servicemen/women (but see full admissions criteria, below) aged 10/11 to 18. Korovou
Korovou (; literally "New Village") is a village in the Fijian Tailevu Province, 31 km from Nausori. It is considered the centre of Fiji's dairy industry, which was established at the end of the First World War by British settlers, on land donated by Fijian chiefs. Descendants of the original settlers still operate a few of Korovou's dairy farms. Others emigrated in the late 1960s and sold their land to Indo-Fijian investors, angering local chief who claimed that land given by Fijian people should be returned to them. A compromise was eventually worked out, whereby the former landowners would have the first option to purchase any farm coming up for sale. Flanker (rugby Union)
Flanker is a position in the sport of rugby union. Each team of 15 players includes two flankers, who play in the forwards, and are generally classified as either blindside or openside flankers, numbers 6 and 7 respectively. The name comes from their position in a scrum in which they 'flank' each set of forwards. They compete for the ball – most commonly in rucks and mauls. Flankers also assist in pushing in a scrum, but are expected to detach from the scrum as soon as the ball is out to get to the play before the opposition's forwards. Flankers also participate in line-outs, either being lifted to contest or win possession, or to lift other players. Flankers are usually the key participants in the tackling process.
