Mal O'Brien
Mallory O'Brien is a CrossFit athlete. In 2022, at the age of 18, she came in second at the 2022 CrossFit Games, becoming the youngest ever person to podium. Earlier in the year, she was the youngest ever person to win the Crossfit Open, and in 2021 was named CrossFit's Rookie of the Year. Early life Mallory O'Brien was born to Joe and Nicole O'Brien. She has been athletic from a young age, and was a competitive gymnast since the age of 3, reaching level 6. She became involved in CrossFit at the age of 10 when her mother took her to a CrossFit gym in Des Moines, Iowa. She started to compete at the age of 12 by participating in online qualifiers for competitions such as Wodapalooza. CrossFit

The CrossFit Games is an annual athletic competition owned and operated by CrossFit, LLC. Athletes compete in a series of events at the Games, which may be various standard CrossFit workouts consisting of metabolic conditioning exercises, weightlifting, and gymnastics movements, as well as a range of activities from other sports such as swimming and cycling. 2022 CrossFit Games
The 2022 CrossFit Games is the 16th iteration of the annual competition in the sport of CrossFit held from August 3 to August 7, 2022, in Madison, Wisconsin. Both Justin Medeiros and Tia-Clair Toomey repeated their 2021 win in their respective men's and women's competitions, while CrossFit Mayhem Freedom won the team competition. Wodapalooza Fitness Festival (WZA) is an annual four-day functional fitness festival held in Miami centered on a CrossFit competition. The event was first established in 2012 and has since developed into one of the largest fitness festival in the world and a major CrossFit competition with thousands of athletes from around the world competing. History Wodapalooza was founded in 2012 by Guido Trinidad and Steve Suarez. Lyme Disease
Lyme disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, is a vector-borne disease caused by the '' Borrelia'' bacterium, which is spread by ticks in the genus '' Ixodes''. The most common sign of infection is an expanding red rash, known as erythema migrans (EM), which appears at the site of the tick bite about a week afterwards. The rash is typically neither itchy nor painful. Approximately 70–80% of infected people develop a rash. Early diagnosis can be difficult. Mat Fraser (athlete)
Mathew Edward Fraser (born 1990) is a retired Canadian-American professional CrossFit athlete, competing from 2014 to 2020. Fraser is the first athlete to have won five CrossFit Games titles, winning the 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 CrossFit Games consecutively. He is widely considered to be the most dominant and successful individual male athlete in the sport of CrossFit. Fraser has a background in Olympic weightlifting and was a junior national champion. The 2021 CrossFit Games was the 15th edition of the CrossFit Games held from July 27 to August 1, 2021. Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr (born 22 July 1993) is an Australian weightlifter and CrossFit Games athlete. She is the most dominant athlete at the CrossFit Games, having won six times at the competition. She also won the gold medal in the women's event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast. Toomey also competed in the women's event at the 2016 Summer Olympics and came in 14th. The 2019 CrossFit Games was the 13th iteration of the annual competition in the sport CrossFit held from August 1–4, 2019, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. The 2020 CrossFit Games was the 14th CrossFit Games held on October 23–25, 2020, at the CrossFit Ranch in Aromas, California, United States. Mathew Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey were again the respective winners of this year's men and women competitions The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 forced major changes to the Games season, including the postponement and relocation of the Games. The format was altered, and only 30 men and 30 women were invited to compete in an online-only first stage with the top five men and women qualifying for the final stage to compete in person.
