Makalkku
''Makalkku'' is a 2005 Indian Malayalam-language film by Jayaraj, and starring Suresh Gopi and Shobana in lead roles. Noted Indian singer Adnan Sami performed a song in this movie. Shobana's performance as an intellectually disabled woman won critical acclaim. Plot A woman gives birth to a daughter on the streets, her identity is unknown, and she is non-responsive. Her daughter, Manasi, is raised in the mental asylum, and looked after with love by the staff of the mental asylum. Manasi's intrusion into the lives of these patients becomes a rain to those dry lives. They eagerly take care of the child with the assistance of other hospital staff. Shobana
Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai (born 21 March 1970) is an Indian actress and Bharatanatyam dancer. She acts predominantly in Malayalam films along with Telugu and Tamil films with few Hindi, Kannada and English films. She has won two National Film Awards, one Kerala State Film Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, with 14 Nominations for Best Actress Category in three different south Indian languages, Tamil Nadu State's Kalaimamani Award in 2011 and numerous other awards. Ramesh Narayan
Ramesh Narayan (born 3 November 1959) is an Indian classical vocalist, composer and music producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He belongs to the Mewati gharana of Hindustani classical music. Narayan began his initial training in Carnatic music and later mastered the classical Hindustani style under the renowned Pandit Jasraj. Narayan began his career composing score music for documentaries, films and Indian television programs in Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil. Manjari (born 17 April 1986) is an Indian playback singer and Hindustani vocalist. Her first stage performance was with ''Shiva'', the Kolkata - based rock band, when she was in class eight.
