Mak Chai-kwong
Mak Chai-kwong GBS, JP (, born 16 June 1950) is a Hong Kong civil engineer and civil servant. He served as Permanent Secretary for Development (Works) from 2006 to 2010. In 2012, he was appointed as Secretary for Development in the inaugural cabinet of C.Y. Leung, but resigned 12 days later in response of allegations of corruption in the 1980s, making him the shortest-serving cabinet minister in the history of Hong Kong. He was eventually acquitted in 2016. Background Mak studied in St. Joan of Arc Secondary School in Hong Kong. In 1973, Mak graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a degree in civil engineering. He is current a fellow and senior member of many organizations including the Institution of Civil Engineers, Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Hong Kong Institution of Highways and Transportation, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and the China Hong Kong Railway Institution. The Hong Kong order of precedence is a nominal and symbolic hierarchy of important positions within the Government of Hong Kong. Administered by the government's Protocol Division, the hierarchy does not determine the order of succession for the office of Chief Executive, which is instead specified by the Basic Law of Hong Kong. As a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong theoretically maintains autonomy on all affairs other than defence and foreign relations. Thomas Chan
Thomas Shun-Kuei Chan (; born 3 January 1964) is a Taiwanese lawyer. He was deputy minister of the Environmental Protection Administration between 20 May 2016 and 8 October 2018. Education Chan obtained his bachelor's degree in law from National Taiwan University in 1985. He then worked as an environmental lawyer. Taitung Miramar Resort case Thomas Chan is known for his volunteer (''pro bono'') work on the build–operate–transfer (BOT) Taitung Miramar Resort case. On 23 December 2008, in conjunction with community plaintiffs (including indigenous land rights activist, Lin Shu-ling) and Wild at Heart Legal Defense Association, Chan challenged the validity of an environmental impact assessment (EIA) retrospectively conducted by the Taitung County Government in relation to the Taitung Miramar Resort. Paul Chan Mo-po (; born 18 March 1955) is the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong and former Secretary for Development of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. He was a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (Accountancy functional constituency). He is an accountant and the former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). The Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal (HKCFA) is the supreme court, final appellate court of Hong Kong. Ma On Shan (town)
Ma On Shan (Chinese: 馬鞍山) is a new town along the eastern coast of Tolo Harbour in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The neighbourhood takes its name from the twin peaks of Ma On Shan, which are partially located within the town. Although it was initially an extension of Sha Tin New Town, Ma On Shan has its own town centre and various government facilities, and is now classified as a separate new town in government reports. Administratively, it belongs to Sha Tin District. Geography Ma On Shan is located by the west face of the twin peaks of Ma On Shan, which can be translated as "horse saddle mountain".
