Majma
Al Majma'ah ( ar, المجمعة) is a city and a governorate in Ar Riyad Province, Saudi Arabia. It is located at around , and it is the capital of the Sudair region. The city has an area of 30,000 square kilometres. The population of the town is around 45,000, while the population of the governorate as a whole is approximately 97,349. Al-Majma'ah Governorate borders the Eastern Province and Al-Qasim to the north, Thadig and Shaqra to the south, Rumah to the east, and Harmah, Al-Ghat and Zulfi to the west. Founded in 1417 CE by an immigrant from the Alshammari tribe, Al-Majma'ah was historically considered the capital of the region of Sudair. It was an attractive place for many tribes such as Anazah and Shammar. The city today contains a museum as well as an impressive mud-brick fort that dates to the 18th century. Al-Qasim
The Qassim Province ( ar, منطقة القصيم ' , Najdi Arabic: ), also known as the Qassim Region, is one of the 13 provinces of Saudi Arabia. Located at the heart of the country near the geographic center of the Arabian Peninsula, it has a population of 1,370,727 and an area of 58,046 km². It is known to be the "alimental basket" of the country, for its agricultural assets. Al-Qassim has the lowest share of population living below local poverty line in Saudi Arabia. It is the seventh most populated region in the country after Jizan and the fifth most densely populated. The Riyadh Province ( ar, منطقة الرياض '), also known as the Riyadh Region, is a region of Saudi Arabia, located in the geographic center of the country. It has an area of and with a 2017 population of 8,216,284, it is the second-largest region by both area and population, behind the Eastern Province and Mecca Region respectively. Adel Al-Jubeir
Adel Al-Jubeir ( ar, عادل بن أحمد الجبير; born 1 February 1962) is a Saudi diplomat who is the former Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs and the current Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. He is the second person not belonging to the House of Saud to hold the office, after Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al Suwaiyel. He previously served as the Saudi Ambassador to the United States from 2007 to 2015, and was also a foreign policy advisor to King Abdullah. Sudair
Sudair or Sudayr ( ar, سدير) is a historical region in Najd in the central of Saudi Arabia, and is located approximately 150 km north of the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The region lies in a valley directly to the east of the Tweig escarpment, which runs across Najd starting from Sudair in the north and ending near Wadi ad-Dawasir in the south. Before the modern era, the region, like most others in Najd, depended on the valley's ability to retain rainwater, and its people mainly subsisted on the cultivation of grains and dates. Families of farmers were ruled by local Emirs in their various settlements around Sudair before the modern era. The local variety of dates in Sudair is known as ''kudry'', and is darker in color and has a stronger flavor than other varieties of dates grown in the country. Harmah ( ar, حَرْمَة) is a city in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia, chaired by Mr. Saud Bin Abdulaziz Almadi. It is considered one of the most important historical cities in Najd. It is located by road northwest of Riyadh, next to the city of Al Majma'ah. At the 2011 census it had a population of 9,011 people. The tribe of Shammar ( ar, شَمَّر, Šammar) is a tribal Arab Qahtan confederation, descended from the Yemeni tribe of Tayy as they originated in Yemen before migrating into present day Saudi Arabia, It is the biggest branch of Tayy tribe. It is one of the largest and most influential Arab tribes. The historical and traditional seat of the tribe's leadership is in the city of Ha'il in what was the Emirate of Jabal Shammar in Saudi Arabia.
