Abdol Majid Majidi ( fa, عبدالمجید مجیدی, 1929–2014) was an Iranian politician who held several cabinet and public posts during the reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. He went into exile following the regime change in Iran in 1979 and settled in Paris. Early life and education Majidi was born in Tehran on 11 January 1929. His father was a lawyer, and Majidi was the second of his family's seven children. Majidi was a graduate of the University of Tehran where he received a law degree in 1950. Farhad Majidi ( fa, فرهاد مجیدی; born 3 June 1976) is an Iranian football coach and former player who currently manages Al-Ittihad Kalba SC in UAE Pro League. He mostly played as attacking midfielder for Esteghlal when he was a football player. He started his career at Bahman club and also played in Austrian, Emirati and Qatari clubs. In his films, Majidi has touched on many themes and genres and has won numerous international awards. Mohammad Taghi Majidi (; 26 November 1911 – 11 April 1979) was an Iranian Lieutenant-General and military leader. History Majidi was born in Rasht on 26 November 1911 and came to Tehran after completing his secondary education in this city and entered the officer's college. He graduated from this college in 1932. Majidi chose his military activities in the ground forces and infantry and in 1946 he achieved the rank of colonel and became the commander of the infantry brigade of the officer's college. After that, in 1950, he was appointed to the command of Zahedan Brigade in 1950 and after the 1953 Iranian coup d'état with the rank of brigadier general.
