Majid Ghassemi
Majid Ghassemi (; born 1952 in Tehran) is an Iranian banker, business magnate, and investor. Ghassemi originally established his reputation as the governor of Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran, from 1986 to 1989. Early life and education Majid Ghassemi was born in Tehran, Iran in 1952. He attended Dar ul-Funun high school with a concentration on mathematics and received his bachelor's degree from Allameh Tabataba'i University in Business Management. After participating in an exam held by Central Bank of Iran, he won a scholarship for an accounting postgraduate course in Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, United States. He has also graduated from the University of Southampton, UK with a master's degree in Economics and a PhD. degree in the same concentration. Governor Of The Central Bank Of Iran
Governor of the Central Bank of Iran () is the highest administrative authority of the Central Bank of Iran, making decisions concerning all such current affairs of the bank. Presently, the President appoints the governor upon the recommendation of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, who must be verified by the CBI's general assembly. Unlike many countries, the governor of central bank is not mandated to decide on the monetary policy in Iran by himself, but he is head of the body with that responsibility, The Currency and Credit Council, an organ within the central bank but controlled by the government. The governor is assisted by an executive board comprising, in addition to himself as the chairman, the deputy governor, vice-governors, and the secretary-general of the Currency and Credit Council. Seyed Mohammad Hossein Adeli (, born in 1953 in Ahvaz) is an Iranian politician, diplomat, economist and academic. He was the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum from 2014 until 2018. He is the founder of Ravand Institute. He was the chairman of Iran's first Investment Bank Amin Investment Bank until 2011. In May 2014, he received the Order of the Rising Sun from the Emperor of Japan, Akihito, the highest Order given to any Iranian National for his important role in the Iran–Japan relations.
