Maja Milinković
Maja Milinković (; born 21 April 1981) is a Bosnian fado singer and songwriter, born in Sarajevo, the capital of SR Bosnia and Herzegovina (formerly a part of SFR Yugoslavia). Milinković became known to a wide public in Bosnia and Herzegovina and other parts of Southeast Europe in 2003, as one of the 6 finalists of the first OBN Music Talent Show, the popular television show in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She began singing at an early age in a church choir during the Bosnian War, and learned to play guitar in a shelter. She started to sing in a rock band when she was 15. Her grandfather and grandmother encouraged her to sing. She graduated from the department of Music Theory and pedagogy at Music Academy of Sarajevo. She plays piano and guitar and works as a singer, songwriter, composer and music arranger. At 2009 she discovered the fado genre, and since then she has dedicated her life and work to it. ''Indexi'' is the Bosnian music award. It given by the Indexi Award Direction and Indexi Award Programme Committee. The award was established in 2002 in Zenica by Josip Dujmović. National Multicultural Festival
The National Multicultural Festival is a free community festival held annually each February in Canberra, Australia. The first festival celebrating cultural diversity was held in 1981 as a one-day event on Australia Day hosted by the ACT Ethnic Communities Council. In 1996 the National Multicultural Festival in Canberra officially came into being. The Jerónimos Monastery or Hieronymites Monastery (, ) is a former monastery of the Hieronymites, Order of Saint Jerome near the Tagus river in the parish of Santa Maria de Belém, Belém, in the Lisbon Municipality, Portugal. Sevdalinka
Sevdalinka (), also known as Sevdah music, is a traditional genre of folk music originating in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sevdalinka is an integral part of the Bosniak culture, but is also spread across the ex- Yugoslav region, including Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. The actual composers of many Sevdalinka songs are unknown because these are traditional folk songs. In 2024, sevdalinka was included on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Sevdalinka songs are characterised by their slow or moderate tempo, elaborate structure, and intense, emotionally potent melodies. The Fado Museum is a music museum dedicated to Fado located in the Lisbon neighbourhood of Alfama. It was inaugurated on 25 September 1998. The building The museum is housed in a building that was formerly a pumping station for Lisbon's water supply. Construction began in 1868 and in 1869 two steam engines made by an Anglo-French company, E. Windsor & Fils, were installed to power the pumping mechanism. It continued to carry out this function until 1938. The building then functioned as a workshop until after the 1974 Carnation Revolution, when it was occupied by the Portuguese Communist Party.
