Maj-Britt Nilsson
Maj-Britt Nilsson (11 December 1924 – 19 December 2006) was a Swedish film actress of the 1940s and 1950s. Biography Nilsson was born in Stockholm, and trained there at the drama school of the Royal Dramatic Theatre. She appeared in three Ingmar Bergman films: '' Till Glädje'' (''To Joy'', 1950), '' Sommarlek'' (''Summer Interlude'' or ''Illicit Interlude'', 1951), and '' Kvinnors Väntan'' (''Secrets of Women'' or ''Waiting Women'', 1952). She also appeared in the English-language film ''A Matter of Morals'' (1961), directed in Sweden by John Cromwell. Maj-Britt Nilsson died in Cannes, France, aged 82. Her death, which was not widely reported outside Sweden, was confirmed by Jon Asp, executive editor of the online publication ''Ingmar Bergman Face to Face''. No cause was announced.Obituary

Alf Sjöberg
Sven Erik Alf Sjöberg (21 June 1903 – 17 April 1980) was a Sweden, Swedish theatre director, theatre and film director. He won the Palme d'Or, Grand Prix du Festival at the Cannes Film Festival twice: in 1946 for ''Torment (1944 film), Torment'' () (part of an eleven-way tie), and in 1951 for his film ''Miss Julie (1951 film), Miss Julie'' () (an adaptation of August Strindberg's play which tied with Vittorio De Sica's ''Miracle in Milan''). Despite his success with those films, Sjöberg was foremost a stage director, perhaps the greatest at the Royal Dramatic Theatre (alongside first Olof Molander and later Ingmar Bergman). He was a First Director of Sweden's Royal Dramatic Theatre between 1930 and 1980; he staged there many remarkable and historic productions. Arne Mattsson
Arne Mattsson (2 December 1919 – 28 June 1995) was a Sweden, Swedish film director. Biography Born in Uppsala, the early films of Mattsson were mostly Comedy, comedies. His biggest success was ''One Summer of Happiness, Hon dansade en sommar'' (1951, aka. ''One Summer of Happiness''), which earned him the Golden Bear at the 2nd Berlin International Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival and a nomination for the Grand Prize at the 1952 Cannes Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival in 1952. It caused some controversy at the time because it contained nudity. His 1953 film of Peder Sjögren's second novel, ''Bread of Love'' (''Kärlekens bröd''), based on Sjögren's experiences as a volunteer in the Finnish Continuation War of 1941–44 angered the author, was banned in Finland and incurred the wrath of the Soviets at the Cannes Film Festival. Gösta Werner (15 May 1908 – 20 July 2009) was a Swedish film director. He was married to Kaj Björkdahl. He primarily made his mark on European cinema during the 1940s. During the 1970s, Werner was first associate professor at Stockholm University, and then later Professor of Cinematography. He was born in Östra Wemmenhög, Skåne, Sweden. Werner turned 101 years old on 15 May 2009. Werner died in Stockholm on 20 July 2009. He was, at the time of his death, the world's oldest film director.
