Maia Ahmad
Maia Estianty (born 27 January 1976), formerly known as Maia Ahmad during her marriage to fellow musician Ahmad Dhani, is an Indonesian singer, composer, and television personality. Estianty was born in Surabaya and showed an interest in music at an early age, winning a marching band competition while still in elementary school. She began training as a disc jockey while still in junior high school. After studying at University of Indonesia, the University of Indonesia, Estianty joined Dewa 19 as a backing vocalist. In 1999, she and Dhani came up with the idea for the musical duo Ratu (band), Ratu. Estianty played the music, while other women – first Pinkan Mambo, then Mulan Jameela, Mulan Kwok – sang. Ratu was highly successful. After the dissolution of the band in 2007 and a bitter divorce in September 2008, Estianty formed Duo Maia with Mey Chan. Savage Garden was an Australian pop duo consisting of Darren Hayes on vocals and Daniel Jones on guitar, keyboards, and vocals; they formed in Brisbane, Queensland, in 1993. Roxette
Roxette is a Swedish pop rock duo originally consisting of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, both of whom were already established musicians in Sweden prior to the band's formation. Fredriksson had released a number of successful solo albums, while Gessle had been the lead singer and songwriter of Gyllene Tider, a band which had three number one albums in Sweden. Dewa 19 (pronounced in Indonesian as ''Dewa Sembilan Belas'') is an Indonesian rock band from Surabaya, East Java, led by singer-songwriter Ahmad Dhani. Along with God Bless and Slank, they are dubbed as one of the greatest rock bands in the history of Indonesian popular music. The band was formed in 1986. There have been a number of changes to the lineup that ended in their disbandment in 2011, but then they regrouped in 2019 for comeback reunion shows. Oemar Said Tjokroaminoto (16 August 1882 – 17 December 1934), better known in Indonesia as H.O.S. Tjokroaminoto, was an Indonesian nationalist. He became one of the leaders of the Islamic Trade Union (), founded by Samanhudi, which became Sarekat Islam, which they both cofounded. Mulan Jameela (born Raden Wulansari on 23 August 1979) is an Indonesian singer and politician. Pinkan Ratnasari Mambo (born 11 November 1980), also known as Pinkan Mambo, is an Indonesian actress and singer-songwriter. She achieved success as the vocalist in the Indonesian music duo Ratu between 2000 and 2004, then continued her career as a soloist. Born and raised in Jakarta, Mambo began singing at an early age but only began to sing in public as a teenager.
