Mai Leisz
Mai Leisz (née Mai Jõgi; born 5 May 1988 in Kuressaare) is an Estonian bass guitarist, bass player and composer. Biography Leisz started playing classical violin at a local children's music school when she was 6 years old and piano when she was 8. She graduated 7 years later and switched to Bass guitar, electric bass at the age of 16. After graduating high school she moved to Tallinn in 2007. She was honored with the best instrumentalist prize at Uno Naissoo Compositions Contest in 2010. She has graduated from Georg Ots Tallinn Music school (2010), and Skurups Folkhögskola in Sweden (2011). She received her bachelor's degree (2014) and master's degree in Performance - Jazz at the Royal College of Music, Stockholm (2017). During her years in Sweden, she was touring Scandinavia with different jazz, pop and rock artists including Linnea Henriksson, Doug Seegers, Norrbotten Big Band and Ebbot Lundberg. Kuressaare
Kuressaare () is a town on Saaremaa island in Estonia. It is the administrative centre of Saaremaa Parish and the capital of Saare County. Kuressaare is the westernmost town in Estonia. The recorded population on 1 January 2018 was 13,276. The town is situated on the southern coast of Saaremaa island, facing the Gulf of Riga of the Baltic Sea, and is served by the Kuressaare Airport, Roomassaare harbour, and Kuressaare yacht harbour. Doug Seegers
Douglas Seegers (born c. 1952 in Long Island, New York (state), New York, United States) is an American country music artist, guitarist and songwriter. Life and work Seegers graduated from West Islip High School and started playing music in New York and Austin, Texas, before moving to upstate New York, where he married and raised two children. Eventually, he went alone to Nashville, where he played on the streets and became a regular at The Little Pantry That Could, a West Nashville charity that holds regular songwriter nights. He lived as a homelessness, homeless struggling musician. On 17 December 2012, Aaron Espe, an American singer-songwriter and record producer based in Nashville, uploaded a live 1 minute 11 second rendition of Seegers singing "Going Down to the River" on his own ''YouTube'' account. The Byrds
The Byrds () were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1964. Charles Lloyd (jazz Musician)
Charles Lloyd (born March 15, 1938) is an American jazz musician. Though he primarily plays tenor saxophone and flute, he has occasionally recorded on other reed instruments, including alto saxophone and the Hungarian tárogató. Lloyd's primary band since 2007 has been a quartet including pianist Jason Moran, acoustic bassist Reuben Rogers, and drummer Eric Harland. Early life and education Charles Lloyd was born and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, United States, and was exposed to blues, gospel and jazz. He is of African, Cherokee, Mongolian, and Irish ancestry. Bill Frisell
William Richard Frisell (born March 18, 1951) is an American jazz guitarist, composer and arranger. Frisell first came to prominence at ECM Records in the 1980s, as both a session player and a leader. He went on to work in a variety of contexts, notably as a participant in the Downtown Scene in New York City where he formed a long working relationship with composer and saxophonist John Zorn. He was also a longtime member of veteran drummer Paul Motian's groups from the early 1980s until 2011 (upon Motian’s death). Stockholm Waterfront, consists of three separate buildings for conferences, hotel and offices. The buildings are located at Klarabergsviadukten in central Stockholm, at the place where previously stood, overlooking Riddarfjärden. The piano is a stringed keyboard instrument in which the strings are struck by wooden hammers that are coated with a softer material (modern hammers are covered with dense wool felt; some early pianos used leather).
