Mai-Otome
is a Japanese anime television series produced by Sunrise. Directed by Masakazu Obara and written by Hiroyuki Yoshino, it is a spinoff of the ''My-HiME'' anime series and as such ''My-Otome'' takes place in a new setting with new main characters. The series originally premiered on TV Tokyo from October 6, 2005 to March 30, 2006. An OVA sequel to the series, ''My-Otome Zwei'', has been made and released in Japan, and a prequel, '' My-Otome 0: S.ifr'', has been completed. The series was licensed for North American distribution by Bandai Entertainment. Zwei leaves the story open for future sequels, and Sifr for future prequels. At Otakon 2013, Funimation Entertainment had announced that they have rescued ''My-Otome'', along with a handful of other former BEI titles. Hiroyuki Yoshino (screenwriter)
is a Japanese screenwriter. He has written several anime series for Sunrise, including ''My-HiME'' and ''My-Otome''. Biography Yoshino graduated from Waseda University's school of literature and later joined the staff of Tokuma Shoten's ''Animage'' magazine as a writer. It was here that the Sunrise producer Naotake Furusato offered him a position in the studio as screenwriter. After joining Sunrise, his first project as the head writer responsible for series composition was '' Mai-HiME'', whose follow-ups '' Mai-Otome'' and '' Mai-Otome Zwei'' he also went on to supervise. He authored the manga adaptation of ''Mai-Otome'' (along with Tatsuhito Higuchi) and went on to write numerous other manga series. My-Otome (manga)
is the manga counterpart to Sunrise's ''My-Otome'' series, following a storyline that is different from that of the anime. My-HiME
is a Japanese anime television series produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks, Sunrise. Directed by Masakazu Obara and written by Hiroyuki Yoshino (screenwriter), Hiroyuki Yoshino, it premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo from September 2004 to March 2005. The series focuses on the lives of HiMEs—girls with the capacity to materialize photons—gathered at Fuka Academy for secret purposes. The series was licensed for North American distribution by Bandai Entertainment and European distribution by Bandai's European subsidiary, Beez, with the first American DVD released in March 2006. Bandai released the Complete Collection DVD set in America on October 7, 2008. It is also shown on iaTV in the mid-2000s and on Comcast’s Anime Selects on Demand for a limited time. Yuriko Kaida
FictionJunction is the solo project of Japanese composer Yuki Kajiura featuring guests musicians, mainly singers. Historically, works between Kajiura and a vocalist were referenced by adding the singer's name after "FictionJunction". Although both perform under the FJ title and are collaborations with Kajiura, they are separate projects. Background Yuki Kajiura had been working on various soundtracks, including one for ''Mobile Suit Gundam SEED''. In 2003, she released the solo album, ''Fiction''. In 2004, she hired vocalist Yuuka Nanri to sing on some of her tracks, including "" which became a hit.
